^^Love it. Nikki Sixx used to do similar. He'd come home for a week or two between tours, when it was time to go again, he'd realise he was still wearing the same clothes he was when he came home, so off he'd go again.

I agree. Though they could hardly be overrated, as they are not rated at all. Except by mules that help to bring people across the Mexico/US border as a source of sustenance, and mules (I'm talking the actual animal variety) don't tend to have great conversation skills.

If I remember my interspecies breeding (not related to the Beastiality course I studied at UTas either) correctly, a mule is part horse? Or I'm way out of whack. Either way, its sterile, and useful for dragging things, and not much else. Probably could be used to make glue and pet food.

Well i took off on Friday morning... and so began the 14 and a half hours of hell. Or as I like to call it "the day TIME STOOD STILL". Forever. Aka ****ing torture in the form of Seat 86G. Being on a plane this long, you go thru alot of phases imo: Hours 1-2: excited, meet/chat with you neighbour, this is cool! hours 3-4: Entertainment is awesome, there is so much to choose from!, 5-6: Entertainment, what entertainment? 7-8: Are we bloody there yet?!?! 9-10: Looking for a parachute and the exit door, 11-12: will kill any of these passengers for some fresh air and a bed, 13-14: storming the cockpit and will fly this thing into the side of a building. Lucky for the last stage we were still flying over the ocean....

Dam i hate flying.

There is tho this new webcam thing they have which is cool- a camera on the tail of the plane, so you can watch it taking off- or as I said to the guy next to me- we could also potentially witness an engine catch fire and therefor our imminent deaths!! Technology is just awesome isnt it- your own personal ep of Air Crash Investigation, lol.

Anyway we touched down in LA without incident, 6.30am local time. Arrived at my hotel at 8.30 and almost jumped the counter and hugged the lady when she let me check into my room so early! Havent seen much of LA yet tho- have been so bloody jetlagged. Tomorrow morning I start my trek- Day 1 will be checking out Hollywood Blvd, etc, before we drive out to the Pacific Coast, then Yosemite.

Yeah, that flight from Melbourne to LA is a steaming bowl of shit. Old girl ended up with DVT on the way back from there about 5 years ago. That's because she's old though.
