Well this is what Wallace called his side earlier in the year when they lost games because of inept kicking for goals. Wallace also said we dont accept losses under any circumstances. Wallace is a coach that doesnt accept mediocrity, we have a coach who thrives on it.
I pick up the paper today and read Frawleys comments: "the scoreboard never lies but it told a fib tonight" & this gem "im exicited about the next 3 months" & this load of dribble "ive never been more proud of them"& this crud "we might not make the finals, but we will certainly shape it"
When Frawley was a mediocre player at that rabble Stkilda, they would of celebrated long into the night because of a honourable LOSS! Now he is coaching our club and his tolerance of mediocrity is rubbing of on our players.
Please Danny if you are fair dinkum, praise them when they win, not when they loose due to ineptness. Who cares if they shape the 8. We dont want to finish 9/10/11. What is the point!
I'll say it again, Frawley is not the full quid and its about time we found a coach who will not put up with this crap.

just shows what you lack diggler after saying how you think danny was as a player.
why wouldnt he be proud of them considering what personal we didnt have on the feild last night coampared to what north had.

we are not toally out of the finals race mathmatically but we have made it near impossible.
the next 3 months and if we are out of finals contention maybe a reference to giving the kids more game time and seeing if they are up to it.

last nights match showed us all that danny is the man for the job. years gone by we would have put up a bit of a yelp in the 1st qtr then fall away.
last night we should have won it.

but hey poeple like yourself would rather stick the knife in because you and not danny are the ones who,s mental state should be in question not danny,s

You would never hear a Pagan, Sheedy, Wallace, Malthouse say thats the best weve played all season and we still lost. Medicrity breeds mediocrity. Spud was captain of a club that was known as a rabble and accepted 2nd best. He is accepting 2nd best at tigerland too.

Let us talk about the Richmond team that Tom Hafey PLAYED with? And then tell me that a champion coach must come from a champion team.

Will reserve judgement of Spud's methods for a bit longer. We played OK against the Doggies but didn't get over the line. Spud remained positive after this loss and the team performed even better against the Roos albeit once again getting pipped at the end. Remember that the Tiges are seriously undermanned at the moment and we definitely outplayed a FULL STRENGTH Roos for most of the night. Spud coached well. Forward line was kept open and small forwards were rotated to keep North guessing. We should have won but it wasn't to be. I was soooooo frustrated after the game but after settling down realised that we are making progress. The finals were a write off after we lost to the Saints. What do you do if you are Spud? Players did everything they could. Endeavour could not be questioned. Spud looked and sounded gutted but does giving them a blast solve Richmond not kicking straight. You give the side a spray when they don't put in. The boys are putting in but it's just not happening for them at the moment. It will turn. Besides who says behind closed doors that he isn't ripping shreds off Tivendale and others. I'm sure what he's telling the players isn't always a mirror image of what he's telling the Media.

My criticisms lie at the selection table. Why still no Poyas or Ednie? Why Biddiscombe? Why don't Rodan and Krakouer get more game time? Is there room for Kellaway and Sziller in same side?

Interesting to watch Hawthorn at the moment who are going thru a tough time similar to the Tiges. After the Hawks lost last week Schwab blasted everyone. Funnily enough they didn't improve this week............

Diggler, what you neglect to mention is that with the team we had on the park last Friday, we should have been flogged by 10 goals. That we only went down by 10 points is nothing short of a miracle, given the team of short people we had out on the park.

Yes, but what sort of message does this instal in our players minds. That its ok to loose. Everyone says we were undermanned last friday night. Well North has been undermanned all bloody season, is right up there, including no Carey if you have forgotten and has an ageing side. And you say they should have beaten us by ten goals. You cant think to highly of us CJH? Anyone would think we had played Brisbane last Friday. We lost to a very very average side, who has more heart than our club has had for 20 years.

Diggles...do you honestly think the players are going to take more notice of his press conference...or what he says to them in the meeting room...or in the middle during training ?
The press speech : politics.
The team speech...we just don't hear those.
The players are told the differences ... there is no confusion. The players know it's not OK to miss shots on goal.

Anyway, add Richo and we would have won our last 5 games...
we'd be 7 and 4. 5th place...You can't really shoot them....Richmond are a very good team.

But I'd get some leg muscle on Clinton King....ASAP. Whilst he has his strengths : Would he get a game in any other team ?

Diggles....... you don't sledge my posts so i'm not going to knock your alternative ideas...BUT...Spud is on the sharp end of some bad luck right now...and it's not him that sprays kicks or tears hamstrings. Without him we'd be really screwed. He gets the most from
a list which is overall ; below average quality, ground level battlers...and brilliant key position players.

Yes, very good point!!!

The public coaches press conference is really only for the benefit of the sponsors and for the gullible fans that lack our ability of critical thinking. I think Spud would be quietly seething at some of the players for missing most of those shots.

Forget Carey, he is gone - has been for a few years now!!!

Of the Kangaroos available list, they fielded their best possible team on Friday night.

They had it all over us for height - when you see Mark Chaffey (176cm) lining up on Digby Morrell (191cm) at Centre Half Back, you know you really are struggling with height.

They have a gun midfield with Stevens, Simpson, Grant and Harvey being right up there with the likes of Adelaides and Brisbanes best midfielders.

They are easily the hardest team in the league at the contested ball - in fact, this is their entire game plan.

In contrast, we fielded a team of comparitive short people who are reknowned as having the worst midfield who are weak at the contested ball.

This is why we really should have been smashed around the park by 10 goals.

As it was, our short people stood tall (this is why I gave Chaffey 3 votes - he fought out of his weight division and won) and our midfielders actually earnt more hard ball gets and clearances against a crack midfield.

The only thing we failed on was our finishing.

To blindly condemn the whole effort would be to fail in objectivity and would effectively be throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Indeed the chances of a win was unlikely..the facy=t we lost even though we controlled play...lost because of rashness in front of goal...that had me swearing like a sailor...

Add Richo
Ottens
Cameron
Hilton
Vardy (or Homey)
and we can have a fair crack.
