Its reasonable to assume that any tall drafted this Saturday will require a 2 year apprenticeship in the VFL before they make a meaningful contribution in the seniors.

you would hope they would have a decent run with willi to develop

but if a ruck is taken with pick 8 or 10, they might get a couple of games if they are up to it!!

im leaning towards t.cloke being given a go in the ruck, as with Rocca, Buckley, Rusling, Medhurst, Egan have a few options up forward still! not the ideal situation but cant think of much better ATM

As I said, we don’t seem to value the role and can’t seem to judge the abilities. I think the two are connected.
This does actually make sense - If you don't think the role is important, than you're unlikely to place a premium on the role-specific skills when looking for one. Rather, you'll look for one that plays more like a player of a position you DO rate.

Josh Fraser plays like a midfielder/3rd tall forward most of the time, hence why Malthouse likes him.

Even Guy Richards was apparently drafted having played mainly as a CHF.
