Can they tho? I must admit I don't know the rules regarding GWS too well, if for example a Collingwood player nominated himself for the draft and GWS picked him up would that count as a 'uncontracted' player? Stopping GSW from signing another uncontracted player from that club next year?
When has a club ever been bullied into trading a player to his nominated club for significantly less then his value?
Look at Judd, he wanted out of west coast and wanted into carlton, the Blues still had to give up a bit too get him there tho.
Sure there are some players who get traded for less then their worth, Grigg springs to mind, but these are usually fringe players and not quality KPF's!

Comparison stats for 2010 when both were playing forward, with Henderson one and a half years younger. If you think Dawes is miles ahead of Henderson then you're way off the mark.
I'd like to have a crack at Dawes, but A) Collingwood are a shocking club to deal with and B) they would ask for much more than he is worth.
Probably have better luck recruiting a VFL/SANFL/WAFL player.
Dawes is not worth a first rounder. Late 20s at best. More likely in the 30s.

If someone offered Collingwood pick 20-30 for Dawes they would almost trip over themselves trying to sign it off.
Dawes averages 1.5 goals a game playing on a second string defender in a current powerhouse club.
You are beyond dreaming if you think he's worth anything.
Why? What has Dawes done that would make Collingwood think he's a bad investment & they'd be lucky to recoup what they paid for him?
Absolutely nothing except on here where picks are worth immeasurably more than players.
I don't think he's untradeable by any stretch but they'd easily be able to demand, & get, something pretty good for him.
'sif GWS wouldn't give up a top 10 pick in this year's draft for him.

Didn't they draft Dawes with a pick in the mid twenties? I don't think they would simply take their money back for him so I hardly think they would be falling over at that trade.
I'm not saying I agree or disagree with your opinion on his worth. I just don't think you're close to being right on what Collingwood would accept/demand in return.
