Realise there is aleady a thread on Hydey, but just in case people don't get to read my post in the other one.

It's just been reported on the radio Hyde has a hairline fracture of the skull, will be out for 2-3 weeks, and will play in a head guard when he returns.

it shows you that it was very serious hit and any harder could have been fatal.
hope he gets well soon! :o

Gonna miss Hyde, he would have been right up there for the B&F at this early stage, although when he and Hartigan return we will be a better unit so something to look forward to.

Bad news!!! But suppose it gives a Tambling/Meyer a chance now.

I hope its only 2 - 3 weeks and that the injury doesnt effect his on field performance.

BTW, how long will he be wearing the helmet?

Richmond's doctor reckons for a few weeks or until Chris feels comfortable playing without it.

A helmet didnt affect Ashman, Narkle, Dunstall or Nathan Burke so Chris will be in pretty good company.
