He was training at Collingwood a few times a week and yes they were interested in him.
I think decided to go for Simon Buckley instead..

I wish the Pies had picked him up instead of S Buckley. Our VFL side is full of HBF just like Buckley.

I heard the Pies told him that they wanted to see how he went playing a season in the VFL. Not sure why he didn't sign up with the Pies VFL squad.

Not sure how he's going so far though. Went to their Rnd 1 clash against Frankston & he was pretty quiet.

I think so too, especially after Buckley's latest stuff up. Never understood drafting a recycled player that isn't a walk up start in the best 22. A wasted pick in my opinion.

I dare say there are better players running around at the lower levels who would be ahead of him purely because they have the runs on the board.

He may still slip through to the black & white TD.

I've watched Chris over the last few years at Seaford and he certainly has what it takes ability wise. I think if he has the drive to go on with it he could easily do so, especially given the lack of draft picks coming up and the greater reliance on the VFL as a feeder for clubs. I'd reckon the Saints would already have him earmarked.
