I saw this name on an NBA chat transcript...Kyle Korver mentioned him as one of the 76ers assistants

Is this the guy that played with the Giants a few years back?

I would say so. I always wondered what happened to him - one of the best shooters the NBL has ever seen, averaged 26ppg in his only season here IIRC.

Jent is the guy who was on Phoenixs roster way back when Goog was the man ??

Yep, along with the Knicks.

His averages in Houston weren't bad, something like 10ppg, 5rpg, 3apg, 1.5 3pt

Lichti was averaging 14.7 points, 6.0 points and 3.0 assists in the '90 playoffs, and then averaged 14.0 points, 3.9 boards and 2.5 assists with 1.6 steals in the start of the 90-91 season before shattering both legs in a truck crash.

So anyway, my question is what import to play in the NBL for atleast a full season has had the biggest impact on the NBA in any given season?

yeah, jent got a championship ring with the rockets, but couldn't quite help the giants do the same in the nbl.

i think you got it in Lichti...but don't forget all the 36er greats: Mee, Brooks, Brunson, jojo english :D

have to be doug overton... without looking at the stats... they are largely irrelevant, because he started at point (most important position) for Washington for atleast one entire season, 2 or 3 years after returning from Illawarra. Lichti's stats looked good, esp. with Denver in the playoffs defeating favorite Sonics...

Stats don't tell the story, Remember the Nuggets a few years prior run and gun with Adams averaging mid 20's and 10 and Woolridge behind Nique and MJ at the scoring table... making a joke of stats.

Doug Overton for mine, qualifying the cellar dweller team he lead, but NBA point for a year, only 27 of those back then.

Would not be the best player by a mile to have played here.

I swear the most talented player I have seen here is Lucas Victoriano the Argentinian point guard who killed us in the under 23 world champs C98... then Kirilenko leading up to the Olympics going baseline on Carter with one bounce from a wing/corner and dunking strong, whilst nailing 3's. (apart from the NBA American team)

Spot on...

I think that this guy is close to being a 10 year NBA veteran. Nobody else comes even close...

The scond best is a former SuperCat (P&P you may be able to help me with his surname) Terry ?? played couple of seasons in the NBA. He for mine was the best defensive big man that I have seen playing in NBL.

You don't mean Ray Owes, do you?

That boy was brilliant on the defensive end, an absolute monster on the boards.

A travesty that he never got a real chance in the NBA, simply because he was undersized, in terms of height.

I still maintain that he's the best import to ever play in Australia.

NO Terry Dozier...

He won the best defensive player three years running...originally came to Australia to play with Supercats in 91...
