No Disrespect at all to Chris Judd, He is one of my favourite players of all time, but from a St.Kilda supporters point of view I can't help but feel a little bit of welcome to Luke Balls world.

You see the Commentators and Media all over the fact he is not 100%, but hows bally been the last three years, Can't wait till Balls surgery is successful and we get to see the best of him.

I do also hope Juddy gets 100% so we can see plenty of great battles over the years to come.

yeah was horribel to see, especially with my west coast mates screaming at Judd to get moving.

Hope he recovers soon, I love seeing him cream the opposition, except aginst the saintas.

Sorry about spelling, but tyoing one hand.

It hurts eh, there has never been an eagles player I've missed more than Juddy at full flight. He makes anything look possible and easy. I hope he gets back to his best next year, because I'd hate to see him struggle and get injuries every few weeks like some other players including bally.

Too much information thanks sauce head. ;)

If I recall correctly Hodge had OP at the time he was drafted so it's something that all 3 have suffered.

They are three of the best players going round and there'd be nothing better than seeing them all in full flight at the same time. When you look at a player like Judd get run down behind you realise how hard it must be for him because he knows what he is usually capable and now he has to adjust to only doing what his body allows him to do.

We've seen it with Bally for a few seasons now and I don't think it will be just Saints fans who are hoping that his recent operation can have him back to his best.

Now all we need is to knock off Hodge and it's complete.

Leave Hodge out of this, he clearly possesses a hardness to the ball & opponents that the other two will never have.

Anyway I would be more worried that you support someone with a name like "Quinten"

Correct. Hodge had serious OP for at least his first two seasons and Hawthorn had to teach him to run again.

Have you ever watched a St Kilda game? Only someone who hasn't would question Luke Ball's hardness, you know you're watching the Saints when Ball comes off bleeding and then goes back on again bandaged up

I'm glad others have noticed this, Luke Ball is my favourite player and over the past 2 seasons it has been devastating to watch him struggle so badly. I can hardly remember how damn good he was in 2005? when he was all australian. I guess the injury to Judd has outlined how much of an impact OP has on a player as judd is a mile from his best. It must be very hard to put yourself out on the ground and know you van't do things that you should be able to and know you are capable of. I just hope that Bally is right next year and can play at the level we know he is capable of. Also hoping Judd doesn't have problems for long as its always good to see the best out on the ground playing at their peak.

The other factor with Ball is just how damn smart he is. He got 90-something% for his TER (Tertiary Entrance Rank) in Year 12. That makes him THINK really well on the field, plan strategize (which is why he should always be captain, BTW, and will one day be a brilliant Saints coach). You can spot it every time he gets interviewed straight after a game - while other players huff and puff out a few dumb cliches, he's so articulate, it's frightening.

To be able to think of the stuff you want to do, know how it would work out, like a brilliant chess player, but then not be able to do it, must be killing him inside. It's not like it is for other players, who just grab the ball and "go wang!" (to quote Jeff Thompson).

I think Chris Judd did even better in his TER!

Besides, academic smarts does not necessarily translate to on field awareness, not to say his on field awareness is bad. I am sure there are some very stupid footballers academically that are very smart on the field.

However I did not realise the above, so thanks!
