But how many times are journalists booted out, when they have accreditation? The fact that Scott is on par with Beveridge in the emotional soft**** stakes doesn't mean he's just being equally thin-skinned. It sounds like he has a particular issue with the blind reporter and the staffers assisting him. Too much bother to accommodate the reporter in his room?

This is a brilliant summation. This is the problem with identity politics (and it's inherent contradiction): it MAKES IDENTITY the issue, when apparently it was meant to be about treating people the same REGARDLESS of their identity. If you're a prick, you're a prick, regardless of the demographic you 'belong' to.
