Will be debuting for the Swans against Perth today which is being shown on ABC at 2pm. A lot of hype around him post rookie draft, would be really interested to see how he goes.

Haddrill and Drum will also be on show.

Well, Chris Smith had a pretty solid debut playing mainly HFF, but also in the midfield as well. Don't know the stats, but seemed to drive the ball into the Swans 50 a few times, though I saw him handballing a lot more then kicking (His kicking does look pretty good though). Also seemed good around the packs. Definitely an attacking player, will get better and worth keeping an eye on.

On the other side of the fence, what is up with Marcus Drum???? Heck young Coby Gartlett playing his first game had three times the influence (And probably five times the number of possessions) that Drum had on the game.

Haddrill was okay....

I just saw a little of it on the tv, but I am majorly disappointed that Drum isn't bashing the door down at the moment. Smith looked pretty solid, physically and skills wise.

I kept falling asleep on the coach and missed most of the game but the highlight of the match was undoubtedly the abc playing Hilltop Hoods as they went to the halftime break.

Maybe Freo should adopt 'The Hard Road' as our club song.

Is Drum still being played as a midfielder? He needs to be playing half back or half forward, he'd make a handy centre half forward at WAFL level.
