Bogans must shop at BigW.....they must know you can pick up a slab of Coke cans for like $15 on special. o_O
I wouldn't diss the place mate.
If you didn't have enough money or you are on on a budget (gifts under $20) then you will be home and hosed at that will make you and your family happy.
There are also some good stuff there. You can by the latest albums of different musicians.

Waiting for the PS4 launch on 15th Nov so that my mother in law can bring it back from the US with her mid Dec for my pressie.

ok...I am mostly bought and wrapped :) I think when you have kids you see things differently.

I don't bother much with the adults - usually just movie tickets or something

I have a 3 year old son....it's physically impossible for me to avoid any of these.....:(

Soft toys, the old fashioned "etch-a-sketch" clothing, shoes, colouring or sticker books, plastic cars, something with a box so he can play with the box for days before playing with the toys.....the list is endless. Just requires a little thinking and pre-planning, unlike the time I purchased half a dozen Mr Men books for my (at the time) 11 year old sister!

This year is the first in a long while that I won't have to buy more than 6 presents and it will be much cheaper, I'll be able to buy myself a little something. My immediate family (parents included) are having a kk and my mums extended family have a kk (including grandparents) so that leaves my 2 nephews, my niece and my partner.
I like to be nice and organised, I think about what I am going to get people well in advanced. I find it is better overall because during Christmas week I still have all my cash. My partner leaves it until Christmas Day to do his shopping, of course!

Start thinking of what you are going to buy your family members for christmas. It's not just about what you are wanting to get. Christmas is about giving.

Currently doing what I do every November, log on to Amazon and buy all my planned gifts in one go (mum, brother, 2x grandparent).

Nek minnit, Christmas shopping descends into how many band/TV reference t-shirts I can buy for myself without sending myself broke :thumbsu:

Family hasn't been exchanging gifts the last few years, was good but my brother who never did any shopping because he just went in with my sister for everything or me had a sook that he wants to do the present thing again, so we decided to do KK with a rule of no palming off to somebody else so it backfired on him.
I was perfectly happy with no presents though, I guess I can handle buying one present though.

Don't have to buy much this year, mainly for nieces and nephews, gonna aim to do most of it online.
Family is doing a kk for the adults, so buying one present instead of around 10for the adults sounds good

Our family KK between my mum and her 7 siblings/their partners and a few of the older cousins is a bloody nightmare. Years of feuding family members refusing to buy for each other (the KK distributions are more carefully orchestrated than the AFL draft), certain ones being excluded from future years because they spent $5 instead of the minimum $30, or just 'forgetting' to buy one altogether, despite receiving one themselves. Christmas can sometimes bring out the worst in people..

Sounds like you are a part of a wonderful loving family

I could not think of anything worse than having a family KK, especially considering all the bogans I have for cousins and aunts/uncles. Very happy buying for one sibling, one parent, and my mum's parents, and not one more. My parents getting divorced was the best ting that ever happened to me.

Best of all, I won't even be in the country for Christmas this year, so apparently I get all my presents a month early, and the ones I've already bought for others won't be opened until the day itself - while I'll be waking up in some kind of stupor in a hostel somewhere in regional NZ :thumbsu:

Saw something perfect for my brother today and thought I'd lucked out and would get it with heaps of time to spare. I'm usually terrible at buying presents, so this was a big deal. Then remembered he still had a birthday to go before Christmas, so I still have to get him something else :(

You do need to be careful last year i ordered something from amazon on the final week of November and it didn't arrive until the week after christmas. It was for myself so it was not a drama, just bad timing and my own fault for not picking better shipping.

Umm it's actually about the birth of Jesuhahahaha… nah couldn't even joke about believing that tripe.

I've already bought all my family members their presents dick but thanks for the lecture in any case.
