One of the very few shining lights for us. He only had 10 touches but they were sublime, his ball sense, pick ups all very classy. He looked like he belonged on the big stage. Funny I felt comfortable every time he had the ball in his hands. The more games time he gets, the more confidence, he is going to become a very good player for us. He seems to have time when he has the ball, and know how to get to the contest. Well done Yarran, solid first game and here's to many more to come for the Blues.

He glides over the ground. I can understand why some say he doesn't chase hard enough - very laconic style. Even at full pelt he looks like he's kreuzing along. Keep him in the side. The sooner he's performing the consistently at this level, the better side we're going to be.

We should keep him in for the rest of the season, let him get confidence and experience. He is AFL ready and proved it last night in the first few minutes.

I, too, was pretty impressed with the silkiness of young Chris Yarran, he is the sort of player that makes you hold your breath when he goes near the pill in anticipation of something special.

He is ready to play the game at this level, so long as the MC don't place too much expectation on him. He needs to be able to drift in and out as openings present themselves in a game, not be expected to be the end all of all forwards.

In four or five seasons there will be a hush over the crowd as he consistently turns opposition defenders inside out. Mark my words.

That was almost as impressive as Yarran marking Hadley's kick (13.40 left on the clock in the 2nd) with one hand on the move and the quick steps as he powered through a tackle with a don't argue.

Yarran has legs like tree trunks for an 18 year old.

Yarran also had a bit of a word with Solomon after he came hard at him in another contest.

Will explode in a game after he adjusts to the tempo of the AFL and bag three or four goals.

Magic man.

Wouldn't swap Yarran for anyone in the last draft.

Oozes absolute silk and class and from thd 2nd he got the ball in the 1st quater you knew he was going to be something special, but with the way our forwardline is going. Jack Watts will be something absolute special, full credit to yazzmataz, but i reckon our club would kill for jack watts, not that we were in the position to get him or anything, and am stoked with yazza, but thats the one i would swap for
