Working in a job where I sell cigarettes, I have three general comments/observations to make on smoking:

1. I used to frown upon all smokers. Now I only frown upon those who smoke anything higher than 8mg.

2. If Asians weren't allowed to live in Australia, Marlboro would not be sold in this country.

3. "Cool" people buy soft packs, be it Stuyvies or B and H 20's. So "cool".

That's the only reason my sister smokes Stuyvies. 'Cos they're "cool".
 
Ah the old Horizon 50's!!

After 4 years a pack a day smoker would be able to build a 4 bedroom house with the empty packets!! (providing they don't die in the meantime!)

I'm now down to PJ 1s ... its like air ... only just dropped from 2s to 1s ... every now and then go back to 4s ... but started on Stuyvesant 16s and was then on B&H 16s and later 8s for many years ... chaned to PJ when dropped to 6s and the PJ flavour 6s was better than theat of B&H. Or was it 8s? I can't remember.

I found 11 lighters in my drawer today. Always lose a Zippo, but always manage to keep hold of those 'Royal Oak' ones.
 
I love to smoke. My old grandad and uncle both used to smoke Port Royal rollies, loved the smell then and I still do. The whole ritual of packing, rolling and licking, then getting the little bits off the end and putting them back in the pack for later on. I love zippoes - play with mine all the time. Zippo tricks . I hate the smell of taylors, hate the taste of em. Rollies take longer to smoke, so while all those non smoking fools are still inside I'm getting my 10 or 15 minute durrie break every hour. ;)
Yeah sure they'll probably live longer (grandad 87 & uncle 82), but the extra years they'll get will be at the end when you can't go out chasing women and drinking anyway.

You thinking about taking it up to lose weight? That's cool. You can lose lots of weight. As a bonus you might get lung cancer in the process......then you can have some chemotherapy which will make your hair fall out. Your choice! :rolleyes:
