Unsolved Claremont Serial Killings - Case update: DNA discovery

User papertrail has posted these on websleuths. Articles from West Australian back in the day. Hopefully they don't mind me re-posting, but all credit must go to them.

They make mention of a blonde man with shoulder length hair hanging around Claremont offering lifts to women, including one the night before CG disappeared. This woman who was approached the night before CG mentions that this same blonde man looks like the person who was seen talking to JR on security footage. Police also have video of unidentified blonde man in Claremont hotel on night CG disappeared. He was apparently stating that his father was a policeman.

The Karakatta rapist allegedly had brown shoulder length hair. Also make mention of items of clothing and shoes found at site where JR was found (that did not belong to Jane). Another user has speculated that the clothing may have belonged to the Karrakatta victim or to SS.

Do we know for sure that the article with the man's description is about the Karakatta rape? The circumstantial evidence is too compelling to ignore but looking at the article, we can only assume this right? (Given the year of the attack, the age of the girl, the mention of the light-coloured panel van and the fact that she was picked up while walking home). If we have the description (brown shoulder-length hair, 183cm tall, medium to solid build) why due future articles/police insist on omitting this information and saying the victim didn't see her attacker?

And why the hell didn't they release the Ciara Glennon CCTV footage? Why not release it now if they've released the Jane Rimmer footage?

I wonder if anyone out there knows the Karakatta victim? Can the police at least confirm if this description is correct, now that they're fairly confident the Karakatta rapist is the CSK? Damn the elaborate secrecy and cover ups surrounding this case.

Due to decomposition it was imposible to confirm 100% but police believe it was highly likely their throats were cut. There was no mutilation of the bodies.

How do you know this? It seems impossible to find any info on how the bodies were found/killed anywhere?

MM is a lone wolf, roaming Claremont after the bars have closed. MM is the only person who hasn't come forward or been identified from the video which is pretty suspicious, you'd think that someone who spoke to Jane Rimmer on the night she vanished would contact police and say ''I saw JR outside the Conti" etc.

MM fits the description, behaviour and has never come forward.

Haven't read anything on the cut throat claim, other than hearsay, but I've read that Detective Ferguson claimed that there was no mutilation of the bodies.

Regardless if there is one CSK, or a team, or the CSK is comprised of a small foreign faction, you'd think they'd be shaking in their boots, as the articles indicate a DNA match.

That would make them a successful serial killer, but a failure at online manipulation.
