When a man who has a golliwog collection named after Aboriginal players, who also tells radio that he can tell the security at AFL games are “new Australians” based on their skin colour, then goes on to question if a young Aboriginal woman can afford to dress appropriately in his eyes it’s just another example of him being a racist old relic to those who have been the victims of casual racism their entire lives, rather than a innocent joke.

Maybe also recognise that there’s far more nuance involved in what was said, how it was perceived and who is completely correct in their recollection, so much so that no one came out as a winner rather than declaring one particularly person was wronged.

Exactly! And more than one person was particularly wronged. And context was taken way out of order.
And how would you or I know. You were there?

What I do know is, it hurt some people very badly, it was deliberately sent to the media.
And other people never fronted, and got, perhaps, what they were looking for.

You understand what I mean and I will go no further.

What and where I did go was make a comment after a Herald Sun report, and it reminded me of the unfairness of how some types look for targets in the public eye and make gravy out of it.

The point is you can place any theory even your golliwog comment, any time you like,
which has me confused.

Seriously is that a bit of reverse racism. So really from my first post on this ,
from H&S has me getting a bit of stick for an opinion , I made a point and it may have had some politics in its background , but we are getting good at hating ourselves, these very unsettling times .

And that's where accusation sometimes hurts innocent people.
It should never have been released.
But it slipped out of the club! Now I will not speak of it again.
