Oh Harry still singing from the same Hymn sheet eh? You will never be over Cogs saying nope. The very definition of a spurned ex.

We won’t be paying all his salary. Melbourne will supposedly be paying half. We don’t have the cap. Unlike Vics we also don’t have the unlimited 3rd party brown paper bags either. Also have a media that non stop smashes us.

So youre taking on someone who's club is willing to dump him for 5 years of his salary ?

Does that not trigger any warning bells?

You realise AFL contracts must be paid in full only unless the AFL deregisters the player? And that is nearly impossible to do without criminal convictions?

Look at JUH and the Dogs. They paid his salary this year and will pay his salary next year unless GCS agree to take him. The AFL is using you expansion teams to move out the trouble-maker players from the bigger teams.

It does, but we also took Jessie Hogan and Jake Stringer soooo I’m guessing we know how to structure our deals and how to handle players who have “issues”.

If they end up giving the value and growing into a quality person that Jessie is then they are more than welcome.

We all make mistakes. Sometimes it just takes environmental changes, sometimes patience, sometimes space.

I mean that is a whole lot of ifs. And Hogan didnt have the off-field issues anything like Oliver has. As for Stringer, I assume you didnt give him a 5 year deal worth many millions?

We have built a club that has been able to help troubled players, by all reports Stringer loves it up here to.

Maybe didn’t have his best first year, but Jessie took a couple to get into the swing of things so no doubt Stringer will too.

We aren’t exactly giving Clayton millions.
I would say, as this isn’t our first rodeo, there are many provisions in the contract. It also known how talented he is and we are, likely, paying didley squat in trade and cash (when you compare to talent).

It’s all plus.

If only the Dees didn't have dumbarse Brad Green in charge.
Could have had a first rounder in the door with the cats paying $1m salary a year.

His presidential decision making matching his football ability.
