Anyone know what happened to MDC, he was a mod on this board at one time.

Throw him in the midfield or on the wing imho.

An outdated idea. We need decent players in the fwd line, not in the back. And given the amount of $$$ Cloke is on, would you really think he would be interested in a massive salary cut and change to a career in the back line to prolong his stay at Collingwood / avoid VFL time ? Knowing fwds at other clubs that are at least 5 yrs older and still kicking goals ( literally ).

Just throwing this out there, and it may be something for the pies to consider in future years when JA, Reid and Dawes are more developed, but.....

-We know he's not the greatest kick in front of goals and that doesn't appear likely to change
-He is a man mountain, in the mould of Nathan Bock. A Huge rig who would be very hard to move in a marking contest.
-Fantastic tank
-Could potentially play a Chad Cornes role as well and create from across CHB.
-Allow a future forward line that looks like this:

McAff Dawes JA
Didak Reid Davis

and a spine like this

Dawes
Reid
Pendlebury
Cloke
Brown

Thoughts?
Too late. The ship has sailed away.

Anyone who thinks Cloke should be tried at CHB knows sweet FA about Cloke & footy

Okay. Then tell us why as you seem to know it all?

He decided to spend his time on other things and cancelled his account.

Here's a trivia question, how many ex mods have posted in this thread?

I might get laughed at but maybe the Blicvas role. The tall bodied midfielder with good endurance. Speed isn't really important, it's more the ability to create a contest around the forum and in stoppages. Could also negating third man up. Just a thought Coz I can't be bothered watching $800k wither away in the forward line for an impressive 25 goal season.

By my count 5 (including yourself). I always rated MDC ditto Optimax...

I've counted 3, MDC, TRS, and yourself. How come it says MDC was banned? Did he go out with a bang? :D

Cloke has never been developed in any other position. I blame Malthouse

Shawthing and Old Spice. Yes OS was once a mod!! We only needed posts from Jabso and Vinnie then we'd just about have every mod covered that was posting back in 09!

I agree......Tony Locket could have been the best Full Back in history if he was played in that position

Benefit of the doubt in that I reckon the comment was factitious.

Cloke to CHB would have weakened us immensely between 10-13 even if it were successful which it wouldn't have been and won't be moving forward.

To be fair, Bucks hasn't made than effort on this front. It's not over night Trav has been going down hill.

IMO he should have been sent back to the 2's back line years ago to quicken up his thought process and rely on instinct. Trav's goal kicking is like overthinking a golf shot and if he is further up field looking to spot up someone he takes sooooo long.

I don't like losing champs but for Trav's sake he needs a place like Hawthorn (yes I know I hate saying it!) where he can be refreshed to fill a role in a new environment for 2-3 years like they did with Lake. I can't see him getting a consistent form at the Pies with or without Bucks at the helm.
