Coaches Ladder on Winning percentages

This is the current Coaches Ladder. All the games this season are included. It mainly takes into account the winning percentage. Draws, flags and number of games aren't counted and they probably should. Anyway with different rules the coaches ladder might be slightly different.

Ladder - Coaches - Clubs - Games - Wins - Losses - Draws - Win% - Flags

1 - Kevin Sheedy - Essendon - 528 - 341 - 181 - 6 - 65 % - 4
2 - Dennis Pagan - Carlton - 247 - 152 - 95 - 0 - 62 % - 2
3 - Leigh Mattews - Brisbane - 330 - 201 - 123 - 5 - 61 % - 3
4 - Paul Roos - Sydney - 17 - 10 - 7 - 0 - 59 %
5 - M. Malthouse - Collingwood - 454 - 260 - 190 - 4 - 57 % - 2
6 - Mark Williams - Port Adelaide - 102 - 58 - 42 - 1 - 57 %
7 - Gary Aires - Adelaide - 193 - 108 - 87 - 1 - 56 %
8 - John Worsfold - W.C. Eagles - 30 - 16 - 14 - 0 - 53 %
9 - Peter Schwab - Hawthorn - 77 - 41 - 36 - 0 - 53 %
10 - Danny Frawley - Richmond - 76 - 39 - 37 - 0 - 51 %
11 - Neal Daniher - Melbourne - 125 - 64 - 61 - 0 - 51 %
12 - Chris Connolly - Fremantle - 30 - 14 - 16 - 0 - 47 %
13 - Mark Thompson - Geelong - 74 - 33 - 40 - 1 - 45 %
14 - Dean Laidley - Kangaroos - 7 - 3 - 3 - 1 - 43 %
15 - Grant Thomas - St. Kilda - 36 - 10 - 25 - 1 - 28 %
16 - Peter Rhode - Bulldogs - 7 - 1 - 6 - 0 - 14 %

When percentages are the same, the position on the coaches ladder is decided by small differences in percentage. Example: John Worsfold winning percentage is 53.33 % and Peter Schwab winning percentage is 53.25 %

Interesting that there is only 3 premiership coaches in the AFL at the moment. Didn't realise that.

Wouldn't this be better on the AFL board?

I have this "good" habit of only posting in our board. :) Feel free to repost this info anywhere you want. If you look carefully you'll find four premiership coaches: Kevin Sheedy, Dennis Pagan, Leigh Mattews and Mick Malthouse.

Ah I missed Pagans 2.

Still, only 4 premiership coaches isn't many. Quite a healthy turnover in the profession I suppose.

As brought up in the thread on the main board, Rhode coached one game last year for a win.

You are right ! In that case Peter Rhode winning percentage increases to 25 %. so this is the corrected Coaches Ladder:
