MVP Coaches Votes 2023

That is, in a perverse way, a good thing...

It categorically is a good thing. He's still our best player, but he's not the only way we can win. The more ways we find to win and contributors we can get to wins, the better we are overall. Cripps isn't going away or dropping off - a few others are starting to rise to his level.

RND 4 - CARLTON v NORTH

9 Harry McKay (CARL)
9 Charlie Curnow (CARL)
3 Mitch McGovern (CARL)

3 Harry Sheezel (NMFC)
2 Cameron Zurhaar (NMFC)
2 Zac Fisher (CARL)
1 Jacob Weitering (CARL)

1 Luke Davies-Uniacke (NMFC)

Current standings in terms of games polled:
2 Games = Curnow, Weitering
1 Game = Cripps, McKay, Newman, Saad, Docherty, Hewitt, Cerra, McGovern, Fisher, Acres, Ed Curnow
13 players have polled across 4 rounds and no-one more than twice.

For a comparison, this time last year (round 4, record 3-1) we had:
3 games: Cripps
2 games: Hewitt, Docherty,
1 game: Kennedy, Cerra, Pittonet, McKay, Curnow, Walsh, Weitering, Saad
Only 11 players had polled, and that was helped with 6 different players featuring in round 1 as we swept the votes (they have been shared in every game this year). Plus Cripps had taken 25 of the total votes

Nice even spread in 2023, with Walsh still to come into the team, Kennedy unlucky not to poll in rounds 1-2 imo.

Would have to be Clarko pumping his boys up.
Thought Sheezel's game had little impact given he had 37 possession (no doubt he will be a great player).
LDU had little impact when the game was on the line in the 3rd quarter.

7 Patrick Cripps (CARL)
6 Adam Cerra (CARL)

3 Bradley Hill (STK)
2 Dan Butler (STK)

Interesting that Cripps game was rated higher than Cerra, Cripps was phenomenal in the 2nd quarter but outside of that i didnt think he impacted the game that much and Cerra was easily our best.

Interesting one coach gave Cerra 4, the other didn't give him a vote.

Couldn't it also have been this?

4 Newman Cripps
3 Acres Newman
2 Cerra Cerra
1 Cripps McKay
