Nice mail BS. A popular Big Footy in house promotion.
Now Monkey, he who renegged on meeting the great man last weekend, how the hell would I know, and even less care who is coaching at Rupo next year? Im terribly sorry to tell you this but I am not someone that sits around all day creating fake email addresses and bigfooty names, you obviously dont know me and in spite of your claims have never met me.
For the last time before I start ignoring you 100% I am Brian Speaking of VAFA Hall of fame and was once Bob Down, can I make it any clearer than that???

Who gives a flying toss bag.

This forum is about coaching changes.

Go tell it to the C Grade Forum. Opps you already have.

Don't waste your time sending it to the B Grade Forum, Opps you already have!

Fantastic opportunity to coach a talented up and coming team in South Melbourne Districts. After back to back flags Gez has stepped down due to travel commitments and leaves the club cherry ripe for more success.

I heard a whisper in the pub last Friday that a great man may return to the fold and coach the club. The club is very committed to getting him back there. Great friend of BF, Cardio Carl, BS etc.

Brett Chandler to coach OTs in 2008.
Only 32 with 5 years of non-playing coaching experience already.

Good choice for a young list.

Scribe - Are you heading back to OT in 2008 ? Or are you going to stay at the Reds for another year i.e Been reappointed ?

Cheers
RFS

RFS,

We're still awaiting news on who gets the senior gig, but the Reds have certainly indicated they want me to stick around.
It's only proper that clubs appoint from the top down, so it's fair to say I'm waiting my turn.
As for my alumni, OTs are looking at a non-playing 2nds coach, which is entirely reasonable in A section, and I still want to run around so.....

Cheers

Big Mac (Rabs) - what the heck is happening down at your recently departed club - just checked the jobs on VAFA trying to find you a suitable appointment for next year.

Required:

Assistant Coach
Reserves Coach
Football Manager
Director of Coaching
Under 17's Coach

Is this Barney's succession plan - make sure you tell him to turn the lights out when he leaves.

Yeah well when I leave this is how many people it takes to replace me !!! Ha Ha ....By the way the Mighty Sharks are also looking for an U19 coach for next year as well

Ormond: J Rombotis or Stevie Wright
Caulfield: Garry Colling
Scotch: Mitchell but likely to go to Hawthorn and coach Box Hill
Burgen keeps out missing on jobs.....may end up at Black Rock.

Ex Northcote Park coach to be signed at Scotch. Has anyone heard this?

Also played at BT for many years.

Coaching Northcote Park and playing for Bulleen Temp - then going to Scotch???? Talk about a change of cultures! Not sure who will struggle more - coach or club. One thing for sure, Scotch will certainly be taught to play a physical brand of football.

Why is it that all local football clubs believe they are AFL level when looking to appoint a coach......I mean these guys want slide shows and dancing girls...get real.....THEY should know what type of coach their club needs and should be actively looking for such a person... If they dont even know that, then they simply are the wrong people to be appointing coaches.......and whilst I am whinging these STUPID clubs who advertise to satisfy a constitutional requirement....I mean what a great lod of crap and a waste of everyones time !!!.... Has anyone out there in BF land actually ever seen a footy clubs constitution??? I certainly havent!!

AND here the whinging ends...for now....

Rabs,

Can you confirm that blows were traded at the Beauy trophy night last weekend?

Spot on big fella....the constitution requirement is there for the fat *ss weak committee members to take the easy option of sacking a coach.

Proffessional clubs identify their next appointments in the previous season and go for it and ensure a smooth, respectful transition post season.

Whats wrong with slide shows Rabs ? They can be a effective means in showing your ideas and thoughts when you coach. It can make the clubs decision easier to appoint a bloke if you know what makes him tick. :D

I think SMD need a new face like GEz was. Sides get carried away with getting former players or people who were part of the club years back but alot of the time these people are mates with current players and can be known to go easier on some blokes which doesnt work. I think the best bet is someone from outside the club who knows no reputations and start with a clean slate for all players.

I noticed on the VAFA website that Old Essendon has appointed two guys from Keilor to be co-coaches of the Bombers.

Any thoughts on this?

Either they are a zig and zag team from way back or it sounds like a non decision by the powers that be. Stand by for more announcements this week.
