Coaching shortlist

From what I gather, our shortlist for the vacant coaching position in 2008 is down to 12.

At an extreme guess, I'd imagine the following names would be on there:

Kevin Sheedy
Chris Connolly
Mark Riley
John Longmire
Guy McKenna
Brett Ratten
Chris Bond
Dennis Pagan
Todd Viney
Mark Williams (Sandy)

And 2 others who really could be anyone from Shaun Rehn to Guus Hiddink.

From my list, my top 3 candidates would be:

1. Sheedy
2. McKenna
3. Ratten

And my bottom 3 would be Connolly, Riley and Bond.

We should definitely get Sheedy on board, I still think we've got a decent list but we are playing like girls with no passion. No matter how bad Essendon's list is or was they always always play with pride. We on the other hand roll over oh so easily when things get tough.
Sheedy demands the best from his players or they are out - Sheedy will find out who the passengers are and get rid of them real quick.
I say give him a 5 year deal too, we don't want to go round in circles changing coaches every 2-3 years. Sheedy has a proven record and the fit is right.

Agree with your top three, would probably switch 1 and 2, even though it looks like Ratten will be at Carlton next year anyway.
