Is this perhaps going to become a permanent thing?

If he can pass on just 10% of his midfield craft to our group that would be a win
If Black had been Victorian he would have been instant Hall of Fame on retirement
Slight upgrade on Matthew Primus you'd think

So just thinking about the Barlow Lynch selection dilemmas
Tom Mitchell (barring a Gaff moment) will waltz up to the stage and hang a Charlie round his neck next month
He was a plague carrier at The Swans (while Dew was there)
Couldn't get a regular game in the seniors
Cheap possessions
Didn't work back hard enough
Happy to see him off to Hawthorn
Apparently was hard to pick him in front of guys like McVeigh, Hannaberry, Jack and Parker
I hope Dew is actually a decent judge of horseflesh
He's not. I'm sure it's no surprise to anyone who has followed my posts on this board but I am bloody FURIOUS at the treatment of Barlow by Dew and Suns hierarchy.

Since arriving at the Suns he couldn't have done any more, he's done everything humanly possible to earn selection in the seniors. Screamingly obvious he's several classes above NEAFL level and many of the auto selections in the seniors but Dew flat out refuses to pick him.

Dew has not only destroyed his AFL career - with it being common knowledge he's headed for delisting - but Micky B happens to be superb media performer and would have been a fantastic PR spokesman for the Suns - if he'd been given half a chance.

A bit miffed he stopped his podcast. Hasnt answered or acknowledged any of my tweets either. But it was ross lyon that killed his career, suns gave him a shot and then he broke his leg again just hasnt been the same since and now with our horrible year there is absolutely no benefit to playing him.

Also we want to win the NEAFL premiership.

Well, that's the point isn't it, Sunners? The very entertaining podcast he USED to do has come to a grinding halt because he's now a NEAFL regular. Kind of takes his cred away, wouldn't you agree? Similarly he no longer tweets or Instagrams! He's become invisible online. A ****ing disgrace imo!

Save your 'miff' feelings for DEW!

I understand your feelings as everybody loves Barlow including me but maybe you should start Barlow melt thread. The same every round, every selection. It's becoming tiresome.

Witch1 many of us would love to see Barlow in the team, but it is a bit rich to blame all his woes on the Suns.

We will let you have him back for pick 2

I think the best place for Mick is the NEAFL - we need a quality mid down there to get the ball and teach the kids a thing or two. The NEAFL is 2nd rate at best, but at least our young forwards are getting some good delivery and the whole team getting some great leadership.

Could almost take on a NEAFL assistant player/coach role next year.

Uh huh. Sorry to make you tired, mate.

Not really no excuse his fame hasn't dissipated. I was miffed early in the season but now im over it. We are focused on next season and barlow playing seniors provides no benefit to our side. He can bring value by helping the NEAFL side make a finals campaign.

Haha hilarious. I'm sure he'd be thrilled with your 'support', mate.

Gotta chip in here.
I am one who also believes a player of Barlow's ability (even if he is going to be delisted or retire) should have been played this year and even more so against the tough experienced bodies of Richmond. I'm no fan of Lonergan but also believe his size would have helped our little boys get closer to the ball this week.

Both are probably on the way out but somebody within the club believes brains will beat brawn every time but I don't and have never believed that. I'll be watching the stats/performances of a few boys who can consider themselves very lucky to still be in the side.

...and I hope the Suns are going to offer MB a job around the club after this treatment or the word of mouth throughout the league will be huge re treatment of older players. Shit, we won't attract the mature ones either if that happens.

I'm hoping Tigers go in to the game with a relaxed attitude so we can at least put up some sort of resistance. A team of Collingwood 6 footers playing above themselves and playing as a team. We could do well to imitate a bit.

Besides Thompson probably close to the best team we can put up there at the moment. We got some mature players back but then I looked the teams stats. We are second youngest team fro this round only behind WB. 2 years younger compared to Richmond. Richmond has 13 players 100+ games, Suns 5. Less than 50 games - Suns 10, Richmond 5.

So we keep hearing on the podcasts.. not sure what continually quoting that being an inaugural member makes so special
I mention that because I keep on getting shit from posters simply because I have been critical of the selections of the Suns team. I have followed them since the start and despite all that has gone on I am really disappointed that we steadfastly refuse to put our best team on the park.

Integrity ? Accountability ? I am very naive aren't I ?

Throwing it out there.... total Smokey.... Wayne Bennett joining the coaching staff in 2019.

Just a hunch.......

Triple M
This afternoon with Billy and JB and i think Jay Z might of been involved saying.
Almost impossible to coach AFL if u dont have your own coaching staff.

Stuey dew wouldnt trust Suns coacheswho have been here 8yrs etc.
He’d be worried about where/who there loyalty lies.
Needs his own team he can trust 100 %

Didnt richmond empty there coaching ranks 2yrs ago.. and now look.
