This is arguably a move that's been 13 years in the making...

In all seriousness, people seem to forget that Michael Voss is actually a Gold Coast junior. He grew up in Beenleigh and went to school in Beenleigh, which at the time was a suburb of the Gold Coast, yet this is a fact that is rarely recognised because he is so heavily linked with anything related to Brisbane. He also played his first ever home game (third game overall) at Carrara when the Bears were based on the Gold Coas.t These days people will say Beenleigh is a suburb of Logan (which is true now, wasn't back then) but if Vossy came through the system right now, he would be in a red and gold jumper come draft day because that part of Logan is in our academy zone. Despite what Lions fans may have you believe, Vossy is one of ours and I think it's about time we bring him home.

If I remember correctly Voss was almost our 1st senior coach. However contract negotiations fell over as he wanted 5 years (2 at Tac,VFL level and 3 at AFL) the board only wanted to give him 3 years. Then Brisbane came and got him offering him 5.
Arguably a poor decision by the board to only offer a coach 1 year at AFL level considering it was a side full of 18 year olds.

As a senior assistant for next year yes. Then if Dew fails to fire in 2022, the job can be all Clarkson's!
This is the correct, non knee jerk reaction.

So we finish a spot further back than last year and 10% down on percentage..... Dewey has to go

can’t blame injuries - every team has them and copes with it
Last year was a far different year though - fewer games and shorter games helped us.

I think we've won the most games since about 2014? I still feel like we're progressing forward. Not convinced Dew is the guy tbh, but we are getting better. Just slower than any of us would like.

Our percentage will be sub 80 this year .
90 last year
Dew has repeatedly told us to look at that as an indicator of progress
Essendon finished just above us last year by points
I think we can safely say they're a bit ahead of us now
