Danny Frawley Eade has done nothing for the club. Mark Evans is doing a holistic review of footy operations and every Suns supporter is sick of the injury excuse. The Bulldogs won a premiership in an injury plagued season. That excuse doesn't stand. Furthermore the Suns have been for the most part healthy this season. Wholesale changes are required. Eade is well past his used by date. Frawley butt out

Wonder if Evans can pull a guy like Hodge up here as an assistant? Assuming there was an interest in coaching, he's spent plenty of time in and around Hawthorn, a different club might be a good fit.

Would certainly bring a little hardness to our powder puffs.
Depends on if they will deliver his lite and easy up there

My hope is that if they do continue with Rocket is that they revamp nearly all the assistants below him, and designate a senior assistant (e.g. John Barker, Brett Ratten) and come up with some sort of succession plan for them becoming the senior coach in 1-2 years.

Rocket can then be the Kevin Sheedy type figurehead who deals with the media and takes any heat, while the senior assistant pretty much coaches the team in his own right in consultation with Rocket.

Watching rockets press conference yesterday he honestly looks and sounds like a broken man, maybe he has already been told of his fate? He even referred to next year "if the team and the club have a good run at injuries I'm sure THEY can push up" no mention of "we" only "they" throughout, maybe I'm reading to much into it just seemed really dejected for the whole pressa and not his usual self.

Wouldn't be against this, just want an obvious plan for the future, and know we are heading in the right direction. Would really love the club to be as transparent as possible.

Hearing our coaches have been told if they are wanted or not , happened last night , rumour has it Evans walked in with a sharp new silver axe.

If true, Thursday night is weird timing just before a game. I thought a Sunday or Monday morning would allow the dust to settle for that week.

He's looked a bit forlorn for the last 2 weeks - maybe he knows something we don't

Said it before I'll say it again

Look how quickly Clarkson turned Hawthorn from a train wreck to a tough gritty accountable team again

AFL and Evans-FFS GET CLARKSON!!!
mate you've gotta take a step back and take your emotion or of this. rocket is better than you think and clarkson is worse. extremes in any sense are bad.

anyway even your own logic is flawed. clarkson is the one that got them into that hole and got them out? or he isn't responsible for the hole and isn't responsible for getting them out? can't have it both ways.

At the moment it does look like Clarkson could do with some improvement on his half time speeches

I think he's made some big calls with the list knowing the Premiership window is closed and has got them up and about again way quicker than any Hawk fan could ever have imagined

This is brilliant. I wish Rocket would of done this to our players after a few of our performances this year

Moving Sicily and Gunston back has been a master stroke with their intercept marking. Duryea and Schoenmakers forward both good. Team looks regenerated. Master coach.

Its funny how you and Mr Bods are giving all the credit to Clarkson when in reality it was Brett Ratten who went to Clarkson and pitched the idea about moving Sicily and Gunston back. Clarkson wanted to just drop them.
It just goes to show you no matter how good a coach you are you still need bright people around you with different options

All assistants no doubt provide ideas to the senior coach. Some listen and some don't. If they don't work the coach cops it, these have so he deserves credit, along with Ratten

Wasn't aware of that
