i can take you hating every other AFL club but leave the Storm alone. This isn't the board for it and this is defiantly not the thread

FYI I don't hate North Melbourne, Fremantle, St Kilda, Footscray, Melbourne, Sydney, Port Adelaide, Richmond.

Call me Mr Love.

Trade radio reporting Caracalla is firmly now in the mix for the GC gig.

Does anyone know why he was squeezed out of Geelong last year? I've heard he was pushed alittle, known for his super super laid back persona. Worries me alittle

Somebody in the last few days wrote a post saying he would fall asleep at video sessions at Geelong.

I must admit I often struggle to stay awake on Mondays on 360 myself when they have Chris Scott and the St Kilda coach at the desk.

That was me - I heard that it was a financial more than a performance based thing as to why he was squeezed out. He had been at the Cats a while through their successful period as a senior assistant and managed to get himself on a pretty good wicket for an assistant and given the Cats were close to the football department spend cap that the AFL introduced and needed extra $$$ at the time for Chris Scott's new contract he got squeezed out.

Also has me thinking that if he was so integral to their success why would he be the one that was squeezed out? Would a club squeeze a bloke out if he was so good that he would be next in line for a senior coach role.

I hope we don't get seduced into getting him as IMO it was more good luck than him being the difference maker to get Richmond a premiership.

IN his defence Geelong is called sleepy hollow for a reason:)

Hope the Caracella thing about him being lazy isn't true. Him or Dew would be awesome.

It was pretty telling what Clayton said on trade radio yesterday about modern coaches needing player empathy
So don't be hoping for a blood and guts , tackle your grandmother, crawl over broken glass type coach
Won't be happening
More likely someone who falls asleep in player meetings because he's been up all night bottle feeding a newborn

Still think Dew is the man. Fingers crossed we find out in the next day or so.
I think the current trend is coaches with player empathy and relationship building. You'd think dew as a development coach has these qualities. But unsure and for this reason alone I'm still convinced Barker has the job.
If dew, Caracella or burns or whoever else the media decide is in the final 3. I really have no idea who they will choose. this is crazy...

Sportsbet have been jumping at shadows during the whole process.

It's the same with the betting on transfer markets, the odds change pretty quickly based on betting. Got to get on quickly if "news" drops.
