Hey,

Port got off to an early start but couldn't convert. At the 17 minute mark Coburg and Krackouer turned it. Krackouer with a quick 2 goals helped Coburg kick 5 to see the first quarter out.

Second quarter was a shootout with Coburg winning slightly but definatly having more ball. Moore took a screamer and almost took a second but put it down.

Third quarter is once again a shootout and going slightly to coburgs favour. Coburg just look to be that bit better every were on the ground.

Last quarter is all the same, Coburg get a few goals and then loose a couple. Been good to see and the Richmond players are playing great. Coburg ran away with it at the end.

Richmond players:
Mathew White: Had a great game. 8.5/10

Cleve Hughes: Did a fair bit. Took some marks and led all day. A couple of goals and got a gimmy from Krackouer in the last. 7.5/10.

Jack Reiwoldt: Was great with his defensive pressure. Kicking abit off at times but on at others. 7/10.

Kelvin Moore: Consistant all day and arguably best on ground (he won it but it was close). Took a screamer and almost made it 2. Second one baldly winded McGuane. 9/10.

Daniel Jackson: Had people get under his skin abit but has done quite well. Kicked 2 goals 5. 7.5/10.

Andrew Krackouer: Had a great 1st half but died off in the 3rd. Kicked a great goal in the last quarter and another one 5-10 minutes later. 7.5/10.

Daniel Conners: Got involved in every scrap there was. Had a fair of it but has kicked a couple of goals and been consistant. Tried a flashy under ground handball that almost cost us a goal. 7/10.

Luke McGuane: Swung from Forward to Back but prodominatly played backline and playing great. 8/10.

Pat Bowden: Was a target but didn't do done much. 6/10.

Travis Casserly: Didn't do heaps but was consitant and didn't do anything wrong. Kicked a good goal in the last. 7/10.

JON: Didn't play well at all. Had a bit of the ball but hasn't hurt them with it. Worst Coburg player IMHO. 4/10.

Jay Schulz: Did a bit and been a target all day. Missed a few but got a few. Has taken some great marks 6/10.

Also just another note, Kelvin Moore has really bulked up in the chest and played a great Defensive game.

Agree entirely great post except a few points. I disagree with your marking of Schultz. Thought he was seriously outplayed by Baird (sp?) and dropped quite a few easy ones all because he isn't a great grab above his head and was trying to take them on his chest. I'm starting to doubt whether he can do the job at AFL level.
JON's marks are about spot on he seems to do his best work when he doesn't have time to think about what he's doing (i.e. he takes the first option).
Think you've probably given Casserly .5 of a mark too high, he did some good things and his run and delivery were good out of defence but I think back to two moments where he coughed it up in the back half that directly led to port goals. Also you marked Moore too low easily a 10 out of 10 for him. He's gone from a sure thing to be delisted to a keeper like Jackson has in recent weeks.

Will be interesting to see out of the guys playing today who gets the chop at the end of the year and can anyone tell me why Hyde wasn't running around (too many AFL games? If not then I suppose he's dead in the water in terms of a senior spot).

Jackson was the standout for me, could have kicked 5 goals and his run through the midfield and long kicking really made an impact.

i watched the game today and as i saw casserly cough it up a few times with bad disposal i remembered reading that he was meant to be a highly skilled player?

i dont think he was too good at all today.

IMO moore was best.

mcguane was very good.

reidwolt and krakouer were dangerous up foward and done there job.

jackson at the start was fumbling everything and didnt look right but as he got into the game was one of our better players wouldnt say he was near the best.

JON didnt do much but wasnt all that bad.

hughes was better then schulz he tried harder and led alot more. plus hes second efforts where alot better.

patrick bowden disappeared for a while.

the times i saw hiw with the ball he used it better then alot of the players who figured for us this season.

as for neville who is a possible draftee for us he didnt look as flash as people said he is today.

only one game so ill be watching next week to see how he goes there.

doesnt have top range skills.

isnt fast but isnt slow either.

would play many of our current players before him though.

anyway ran over them in the end and was a but of a demilition.

go the burgers vs willy.

gday all.. i was at the game yesterday and was very pleased with moore! he was great and i really hope we keep him on next yr. hes got all the tools to be a good player for the richmond football club and i hope hes not just one of those players who only thrives at vfl level..

i really hope he gets a chance and makes the most of it next season.

Should be offered a performance based 12 month contract to give him the opportunity to cement a spot.
