he needs to work on his disposal by foot. It has been poor for quite a while now. A bit lazy on his left as well.
but did a fantastic job on luke ball last night and took the honours with 23 disposals to balls 14.

79 of his 95 possessions this season have been effective. Some of his disposals by foot are ugly, but almost 9 times out of 10 they hit the target.

Know where your coming from , little wobbly off the boot at times, however we need to remember he is still finding touch...i believe he has improved inch by inch every game so far , by R8 or 9 should be in BOG type form....

he'll be ok , Id be looking elsewhere...

A lot of information I've read about these pubic problems such as OP suggest that they can affect kicking quite a lot, particularly distance. That's one thing I've noticed with Cogs so far is that I've seen quite a few kicks drop short.

And he is normally in the thick of the action so alot of his kicks are under pressure. I'm the opposite I think his kicking has very good.

Coughlan's disposal by foot has always been B to B+ grade, so I don't anticipate his disposal getting better as he overcomes OP.

Fortunately we don't rely on Cogs pinpointing too many passes and most of his possessions are in the thick of the action where any means necessary is the only way to dispose of the footy.

If he was a reciever with dodgy kicking then I'd be worried.

Its great to see him back isn't it? I think an in-form Coughlan along with Kane Johnson back in can lift the side a notch. It allows other players the luxury of an easier ride. I think with Johnson, Coughlan, Hyde as your three key midfielders, players like Bowden, Tivendale, Brown, Tuck and even Deledio are able to exert more pressure offensively. Be nice to have them all up and running at once.
