I'm just getting over a cold/flu i guess. Was 2 days crook thinking i was on deaths row before i started getting better. The thing i hate the most is that you spend the next week after it's gone still emptying your nose every 10 minutes.

Three things which I reckon stop you ever getting sick.

1. Drink a shiteload of water, eat fruit and vegetables and get plenty of sleep, especially when you feel at all under the weather.

2. Steer clear of children. They are little disease factories.

3. Dettol alcohol gel hand sanitizer, in those little 50ml bottles.

this is true! i always have sanitizer in my bag. Do you think its ok to juice fruits and vegetables too?drinking plenty of liquids do help a lot.

Juice is good.

I reckon the most important thing is when you start to feel at all sick, like the very first warning signs you're coming down with a cold, that's when you need to start to look after yourself, drink liquids, eat healthy simple food, and get at least a few more hours rest.

The mistake people make is to take a day off when they feel like shit, by that point it's a bit late. I think with a lot of colds there's a 12-24 hour window just when your throat starts to tickle where resting up and giving your immune system the best possible chance to squash it can save you a rotten week.

I've been taking 1 x garlic and horseradish tablets per day for years now.
Barely ever get a cold and/or flu.
Started off taking them as someone told me they were good for reducing my hayfever allergies, and with the bonus of them reducing the likelihood of me getting a cold and/or flu.
Also a glass of OJ every morning helps as well.

Yes i agree, an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. even when i'm not sick i make juice a lot both vegetables and fruits. they say it's beneficial, just do it right...

yeah juicing helps me get rid of some allergies and at the same time help me maintain my weight

The principle is sound. To avoid illness, expose yourself to germs, enabling your immune system to develop antibodies. I don't know why everyone doesn't do this. Maybe they have something against living forever.
I think thats the same concept honey has, local honey for hay fever. expose your self to the allergens. when i have colds i drink cold fruit juice.I steam my nasal passage or just have humidifier , it helps to induce sleep esp if my nose is clogged up
