Under contract, but clearly on the outer and possibly a trade target.

Should we have a nibble?

I think he could be a gun in the right setup, serious talent as a goalkicking midfielder or hardnut half forward.

Absolutely no way..... Biggest f@#$head on the planet and would work to bring down our culture from the inside out..... NO THANK-YOU!

Sylvia has all the right physical attributes, but has the history to indicate he is sorely lacking in self discipline.

Have we got a "No Dickhead" policy at the Pies?

If we don't then we should. Sylvia seems to like a drink a bit too much.

Take a leaf out of the Swans book and put 'character' (i.e conform to team culture and discipline, team first attitude, willingness to work your arse off to improve, sacrifice etc etc) before 'talent' and you won't go to wrong.

The irony here is that he will probably end up at the Swans like all the other tools they manage to reform and turn into guns

Wasn't he with Didak on "that night"?
Wasn't he with Swan drinking this year? (Could be wrong on this one but i'm pretty sure he was)

Everywhere players are in trouble, he's there!!!

Maybe - but that's no reason why we should chase him. To me he fails the character test and is not a player we need, nor want at the Club. Would much rather hang onto Wellingham than pick up Sylvia.

Dane Swan has proven to be a pretty handy player.

Not interested.

Never lived up to the hype, often injured and carries a bad rep.

Im not sure he would even be in our best 22 at this point.

From our prelim loss surely he would be in the side before Sinclair....

Sure, but assuming all goes well next year, neither Sinclair or Elliot will be pushing for selection.

Didn't I see Mitch Morton making a few excellent plays for the Swans in the Grand Final

If all goes well Elliot will certainly improve and be pushing for selection. He's talented and works his butt off. He'll make it.

Of course but even he will tell you it took him all year to gain the trust of the playing group, which was largely around buying into the culture and team ethos before they were willing to select him.

The fact that he was able to do that is of great credit to him. I'm not sure the CFC has the same culture as the 'bloods culture' and Sylvia poses to big a risk for our club.

He will make it, but i would prefer that to be in 2014.

I still want Dids, Krak and Caff in there assuming they are injury free, with Thomas, Swan & Sidey rotating through.
