You don't ditch a talented 18 y.o. after 1 year, having to pay out his contract, because he had some injuries.

Ok so he might have a few issues but I coach U/17 .... U/21's etc they all have issues and some are not quite right in the head as yet. He is a kid Dockers have a shocking record when it comes to helping kids along. I just think we have some very mature kids at Carlton and with Judd and Hadley there as well it might be the perfect envoirment for someone like him to be at. Whats wrong with giving him a 1 or 2 year deal with conditions, it will shake him up a bit and having people like Judd, Stevens etc talking to him and laying down the law will only help him.

I agree. I would given him a 1 year deal. Just saying there has to be more to it than injuries.:thumbsu:

Well since we all agree lest draft him then, it will cost us nothing in what is looking like being a very poor draft talent wise.

With your list the whole league should be worried....

Get back to the bombers board and talk about no other club wanted anybody during trade week from the bombers....

We only offered what we didn't want. And they weren't knocking down your door during trade week, WCE only reluctantly dealt with you through for Judd.

Fun Friday night for you mate? BigFooty at 10:30PM.

Keep telling yourself this............

The more you post the more dellusional you are sounding.

Comparing Jetta to Kouta, now WCE were reluctant to deal with the club Judd chose to go to............wake up mate.

Clayton Collard:

- Lazy
- Doesn't train hard
- His commitment to AFL has been questioned a number of times
- Unfit
- No engine
- Ridiculous skinfolds
- Silky skills
- Sharp shooter in front of goal
- Strong on both sides of his body

Another player who thinks he can rely solely on his skills to get him through an AFL career.

In a nutshell, he is Nick Davis.

You are a tool buddy....bigger tool than half the Essendon list...

I'm on the otherside of the world....but you wouldn;t know what that is!!

Get back to your Woodstock and Coke!!!

Essendon only offered what they didn;t want and still nobody took it...gee great players....but i'm sure your list of superstars will see you through the next 5 years...i mean Essendon were calling finals after round 10 only to fall all the way to 13th...great list!!!

Blue History..... Your name suggests some knowledge of your club's past, so you should be aware that we've finished the Home & Away season above you for 10 years in a row now, so our list has been consistently better than yours...... if you think Juddas and a couple of tank picks are going to turn everything around you're delusional, and should probably stay on the other side of the world.

Incidentally I hope that if you are on the other side of the world (or the antipode as it is scientifically known) that you are in a sturdy vessel and have a warm jacket on as you would therefore be in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean.

Now excuse me, but my Woodstock & I need to get to an important board meeting. I'm not sure if you know what that is as most dealings you would be familiar with are done under the table.

So Essendon have finished higher for the past 10 years...on the ladder maybe, but officially i remember being in the final 2 in 1999.

And if you haven't forgotten, Carlton have finish bottom 2 for the past 3 years...i think Essendon has been slightly ahead of them by 1/2 spots?? Are you forgetting the Bryce Gibbs cup??

But for 10 years Essendon have been better, how many flags?? only 1 gee so much better!!!

Your list is the worst in the AFL, even behind Tigers...for to long Essendon have relied on Hird...he is gone...Lloyd is a sledgehammer twit...Lucas might be able to hlep you this year....but what are you going to play with in the middle of the ground?? Or down back, cause we all know if you play on Flecter he plays 100m off you...and Michael is the worst FB going around....remember who kicked 8 goals in half a game in round 3 against Essendon???

And don't woory about me being on the other side of the world, it may be cold here...but the knowledge that Carlton always finds a way to beat Essendon warms my heart like you couldn't imagine....."Wallace takes a bounce....tried to run around Brown....Brown tackles Wallace....dropping the ball!!! Carlton run away with it...GAME OVER!!!

You delusional Carlton 'supporters'..... I admire your blind faith, but seriously. Gee I wish I had been a member of BigFooty to hear all of this blind faith after the Pre Season wins of recent years, would have been hilarious.

Only one flag? I'd take that any day over zero flags and 2 or 3 spoons.

And Mal Michael being the worst FB in the comp!?!? I understand you'd remember round 3, it was almost your last win, but please.... he didn't win 3 flags by mistake. Look at your own backline before you make those allegations. And both Lloyd & Lucas have a hell of a lot more runs on the board , and are a lot more consistent than the Fev.

I'll look forward to perusing the Carlton threads in about May next season when you've all given up on finals again and are talking up the 2008 draft and your 4th consecutive #1 pick.

Well done GG! You've outperformed us during the worst period in our 143 year history - CONGRATS! You conveniently overlook the fact that you finished EQUAL on the bottom with us last year. Also, the only time in the last couple of years that your mob actually won a game against us was because we were tanking!:eek:

2008 CAN'T WAIT!:D:thumbsu:

Speaking of "talking it up".......how did the "Dons in the top 4" thing pan out for you guys this year?:o

Clutching at straws now aren't you bluebear.... no comment on Kouta?

I haven't backed down or admitted anything, but can't statistically back that up like I could with the Kouta comparison, so used "pretty sure" as a disclaimer.

He'd be in the Blues team in a heartbeat..... assuming you're trying to win that is?
But would we want him after we pasded on him twice and every club passed on him in the first round?

I wouldn't pick Jetta ahead of Grigg who was on fire and poised to debut before he was injured.

I guess you've got alot to look forward to when your club has already written off 2008 and are aiming for the finals in 2009.

And the top four in 2010.

Did that send a positive message to your players? :o

Essendon will be back down the bottom in 2010, finishing equal last on points in 2006 can't be solely attributed to your senior players having injuries. You'll be a bottom four side in 2010 with your midfield and lack of young tall forwards and defenders coming through. Gumbleton, Daniher and Neagle will need at least two full seasons in the AFL and to prove themselves before you can count them as players.

Every club has a Neagle and Daniher who they hope will make it.

Carlton have Hartlett, Edwards and Austin and lost Kennedy who would have been our CHF for the next ten years.

Yet the Pies, Hawks and Eagles have quality young talls like Reid, Cloke, N.Brown, Kennedy, Spangher, J.Morton, Dowler, Thorp, McKenzie and M.Brown on their lists.

Your backline and forwardline will be Ryder and Gumbleton in three years time.

Who couldn't beat Essendon when Michael, Lloyd, Fletcher and Lucas shuffle off to join Hird in retirement?

I understand Gilly's and HBF's argument that Collard wouldn't be delisted if they didn't have a good reason.

But Lappin turned his career around after the Saints cut him.

IIRC, he had a bad reputation and wasn't delivering on his substantial talents.

Could Collard change his ways if he matures and has the right coaches pushing him hard?

Brittain nearly cut Fev who was wasting his talent in the twos and on the turps.

Or would the recruitment of Collard be a backward step after we cut Lance?

I'd rookie him if he wasn't picked up in the national draft.

Did Collard know and play with Clinton Benjamin?

...and when he recovered from his injury still managed 5 games in his debut season.

Grigg - 5 games, 11.8 disp per game, 3.4 marks, 0.6 tackles
Jetta - 4 games, 6.5 disp, 2.2 marks, 2.8 tackles
