i saw him play at coburg and he has a good footy brain and nos where to be he should be a goer

His best is good enough to get in the seniors but his worst wouldnt get a game with coburg reserves. Needs to improve his consistency and he has to be a chance.

if he had nathan buckleys work ethic and professionalism - he could probably be a very capable pressure forward.

as it stands, he is very lazy - floats around the forward line and waits for the footy to come to him. he was given another chance through our club - and except for one very good game for the coburg seniors = he failed to show anything to suggest he understands the hard work involved to be AFL standard

hats off to Freo for kicking this bloke out after just one season, despite his relatively high draft selection (31 in the super draft). I don't blame our club for giving him a go - as he was a bargain and worth the risk (as his upside could have been very good ) - but unfortunately - i think his attitude and work ethic has not increased anywhere near enough

well, i definitely don't think he deserves to get promoted to the seniors - thats for sure.

If he remained on the rookie list for one more season - i wouldn't go off my naa-naa about it. His one stand out game for the burgs was a ripper and a half - and we could safely say that JON or even Rance didn't have a standout game better than it.

The guy can play - but f*** me he looked lazy. rarely interested getting to where the ball is - his game plan almost look to me that he would either wait for his opponent to fall into a false sense of security - or just fall asleep. And when they did, he would float off and pick up some cheap kicks.
He has all the natural tools to be a good player - just seems to be a half assed kind of bloke.

you could say nathan brown looks lazy but some guys just have that about them and still play well
its just natural class and the kid is only 19 and will benefit from another preseason and will develop into a classy small forward for us

nathan is lazy when it comes to chasing an opponent - but he doesn't try and pick up cheap kicks. he works 3 times as hard as collard does - and has 2 the skill, and can read the play 5 times better.

thats why he has been an all australian- and collard will most likely be another Anthony Banik story
