Collingwood are pleased to report a fully fit squad.

Forward coach Scott Cummings has been working with the forward line of Chris Tarrant,Chad Cornes and Jon Brown. They have been woring on structure and srtagies when playing together. Josh Fraser has alos been doing alot of work with Scott as it seems he will be spending more time in the forward line due to the additions of Jason Ball and Jamie Charman.

Team Analysis:

Backline: Consisting of King,Gaspar,Schauble,Presti,Johnson and Rob Murphy. The bac line is a mixture of old and new talent.Murphy and Johnson will provide run out of the backline with Presti,Gaspar and Schauble playing tall.

Midfield: Consisting of Buckley,Houlihan,Ablett,Bolton,Stevens Holland and Brayden Shaw. This midfield looks to be one of the best in the competition. And one things for sure this midfiled will dominate for years to come.

Forward Line: Consisting of Tarrant,Cornes,Jon Brown,Barker Raph Clarke as well as midfiedlers such as Ablett rotating thruthe Pies forward line looks to be the best in the game.

Ruck: Ball,Charman and Fraser make up the ruck division. Ball has been brough in to take emphais off Fraser so he can play in the forward line more and also protect him from playing ruck so early and so long in his young career. Charman was a great young pickup and the club hopes they can lead the club to glory for many years to come.

Others: With Playes such as Cameron Cloke and Tom Davidson being able to play forward and back. AS well as experienced defender Mark Graham and with draftees like the Shaw cousins,Brent Hal and Julian Rowe Collingwoods reserve payers are of a high standard.

Likely lineup for the Pre-Season opener:

B: King Gaspar Schauble
HB: Johnson Presti Murphy
C: Houlihan Buckley Tarrant
CHF: Fraser Brown Ablett Jr.
FF: C.Cloke C.Cornes Br.Holland
R: Ball Bolton Stevens

Collingwood due to new rules and salary cap pressure were forced to make big changes to personnel at the club, Big names like Kane Cornes, Josh Carr and Scott Lucas were forced out in exchange for young talent. The breakdown of players and picks in/out follows:

Players/Picks In: Brock Mclean, Cameron Wood, Marc Murphy, Brett Kirk, Richard Douglas, Pick #1, Pick #38, Pick #54

Players/Picks Out: Josh Carr, Rhan Hooper, Kane Cornes, Brad Green, Dane Swan, Nick Maxwell, Scott Lucas, Pick #17 Pick #46

A young brigade led by coach Prestito’s number 1 target Brock McLean were brought into the club to replace its current and highly paid stars. Veteran Brett Kirk was also brought in as a reliable and consistent senior player who was luckily not demanding a large pay packet.

In addition to the players acquired in trading the draft also proved vital to Collingwoods premiership chances now and in the future, The prized number 1 selection was used on SA youngster Bryce Gibbs. Mature aged recruit Greg Bentley was also brought in during the draft to help solve depth issues created by the cap squeeze.

Draft Breakdown

Pick #1 – Bryce Gibbs

Pick #67 – Joe Anderson
Pick #80 - Brennan Stack
