Collingwood's forward line in the latter part of the season.

FF; Medhurst - Buckley - Bryan

HF; Didak - Rocca - Cloke

Egan, Thomas, Licuria, Swan, Fraser, Davis, Dick and Holland to rotate with the likes of Bryan, Didak and Medhurst.

Dawes and Rusling to come in after recovering from their long-term injuries. Things are going to be exciting. Lets not forget a young bloke by the name of Reid.

Midfield;

Fraser and Bryan rotating in the ruck.

O'Bree, Holland, Burns, Licuria and Swan as in and under clearance players.

Pendlebury, Thomas, Johnson, Lonie and Lockyer providing the dash.

A very good group of midfielders that also have the back-up to help with the rotation that consist of;

H and R Shaw, Egan, Davis, Didak, Medhurst and Dick.

That is just now, there is also the up and comers such as;

R Cook, B Davies, T Goldsack, S Iles, D Stanley, A Toovey and S Wellingham.

Things are looking very exciting, isn't it?

Looking to the short term future? Why not. We all hope that there is finally some depth to the team, I think the danger is that like last year we take some teams by suprise, have a couple of upsets and even play some good games and then don't capatilise on this. There is plenty of talent, what they need is to gel as a team much better than last year. Maybe Tarrant going is a god send, I personally believe that Bucks being out is not the disaster it was 2 years ago. 2 games last year were disappointing for me, and they were the Richmond game and the 2nd Essendon game. I have already stated elsewhere that I thought Essendon and the Saints will be our catalysts this year and so far that has been the case. Essendon were favourites on ANZAC Day and were being touted as the suprise team of the year but were outplayed. That confidence has buoyed us for the last few weeks. The next challenge will be The Saints, who have rallied for one last chop at the title and look dangerous, they are our next big indicator and that game IMO will set the tone for the second half of the year. Don't get me wrong, all the rest are important but I think these 2 are real indicators as to the progress from last year, Hawthorn and the game this weekend are going to be interesting too. I mean this time last year we were in the same position or better, so lets not get too excited.:)

The future is very exciting. But I'm more focused at the present time and we are a chance to make the top four this year and anything can happen after that. We have a good blend of youth and experience and that will take us a long way to reaching our goals this year. Nathan Buckley hasn't took to the field (thus far) in 2007 and he is our captain, our champion, and at 34 (35 in June), he can still have an influence on week-to-week results. Brodie Holland and Alan Didak will be nursed through the next few games until they hit their best form. We have a few untried kids pushing for selection and they will get their opportunities as the season unfolds. The veterans who may struggle to make the best 22 will be handy acquisitions at the business end of the season; their experience counts for everything. The future is now.

Yes guys the future of the pies does look bright,but also the future is now.
If we keep up this form,get a few more experienced players into the side there is no reason why we can't make top 4.I predicted this, at the start of the season when some thought i was just being too positive.
Why,when last year we didn't have the depth as we do this year and we just missed 4th possie by percentage.
Let's grab 4th possie or better,and believe me anything can happen.
We still miss a big ruckman.Josh and bryan are a good combo,but one extra big strong body would have given us good depth in the ruck division.
Neverthless if we can make top four with a full side then a premiership is within our reach.Yes this year !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got to say I still have my doubts about this year. Yes it looks positive at the moment but the season is a long one and with the amount of young players we have there has to be a lull somewhere. I suppose it depends on how serious that lull is as to how our season goes.

I just think that with a few injuries in key positions and a few of the young players losing form that we could hit some major hurdles. And we can't just expect that the young players that we have waiting in the wings will just step in and replace the players that are doing so well at the moment. Whatever the prospects on guys like Goldsack and Wellingham, chances are they are going to struggle a bit in the seniors if they get their chance.

I'm hoping as much as anyone that we can make the top 4 this year but I think that there are some better teams out there at the moment than us and we'll be up against it when we come up against them.

This week against the Doggies will be a pretty big indication of where we are at in the scheme of things. If we win this maybe (hopefully) I'm wrong and we can prove ourselves as genuine contenders.

The ladder has always been a very good indicator of where we are in the scheme of things. We have lost to two teams this year -- Port Adelaide and West Coast -- who are first and second; we have beat (fifth placed) Adelaide and (seventh placed) Kangaroos. That's a fair indication right there.

The Bulldogs have been up and down. The in-form side is Collingwood, should win by 3 - 4 goals, but we know that it may not happen to plan. Winning form is good form though, so we should be at short odds to win.

For the first time in a few years we have a number of young players pushing for senior selcetion. Their Williamstown form warrants selection and blokes in the Magpie line up know if they don't perform, they could open the door for one these youngster to come into the side.
