hey guys i know this is funny coming from a essendon supporter but i think al you guys should be proud about the way your team played yesterday, to be crucified by the umpires like they way you guys were all day yesterday and still storm home to win is a great effort and something you guys should be proud of
I also think collingwoods stregnth is there rebound from defensive 50 guys like swan and shaw and clemeant really set it up for you guys, i only hope essendon put in a simalar effort today.

Thanks mate. I felt that the umpires were against us today, but it's a team sport, and there is always a degree of uncertainty with a lot of decisions. However, what Laidley is doing, blaming the umpire, is terrible. It's a sport that will always have mistake calls, but they are not always going to go aginst you either. It will, eventually, balance out. Laidley should probably be looking at his own list, and blaming his list.

Anyway, it's good to see a decent Essendon supporter who doesn't troll on the boards of other teams, but instead has good output.

The umpires were shocking! They were paying the Kangas free kicks and it would happen to the pies and it was like the umps were blind

We played crap and got away with murder. Umpires did not help, but at the end of the day we stole 4 points because North did not know how to put us away.

Excellent and honest post. I agree we were completely hammered by the umpires today. Still we were lucky to win. Very average all round performance. Bombers looked OK today from what i saw as well.

I was appalled by some of the umpiring decisions, and then was in shock when, on the strength of Burns' goal from a free kick, we might actually have won the game due to a free kick!

But then Shagga missed and it was all just so ridiculous.

Mick deserves the credit really, side from Clement most of our run off half backers aren't especially talented and alot of players with similar discipline could pull it off. Mick has them so well regimented that they consistantly run and go and never waver from the game plan.
