Best episode of this season IMO. Also, I didnt realise Rachel was Brie Larson until the end credits. Looks a lot different with brown hair

Didn't recognise her either, but I thought she was pretty cute and I liked her scenes with Abed. Hope that she re-appears in a few more episodes

Agreed that it was a good episode and hopefully the show keeps getting better like it has been so far this season. It still had its sitcom schmaltzy moment, but enough laughs and actually some proper tender moments (Abed displaying legitimate emotions!!) too.

As I keep watching, I'm realising that losing Pierce at the end of the season is gonna suck.

Next week's episode isn't going to be completely puppets is it? I hate when shows do shit like that.

Will be similar to the claymation and 8-bit game episodes I think, switching between live action and animation.

Just got through the last three episodes are being away for a few weeks. Loving it, really solid story arc with Changnesia. Another Abed doco episode was great, seeing the Dean fawn over someone who wasn't Jeff was pleasant, and seeing some slight character growth with Abed was surprising in a really strong episode.

I agree with whoever said it's really hit home over the last few episodes how much Chevy's absence will change the show. Pierce has come up with some gold in the past few weeks.

I don't see how having Chang appear intermittently saying 'Changnesia' over and over is a solid story arc.

I miss Senor Chang.

Same here. One episode was dedicated to it, they finished by showing he was lying, then it's just been "Sorry, I've got Changnesia." Not really an arc.

Some good lines by Troy in the balloon

"I can't see the landing strip....or any of the other nudie bars"

"If we reach heaven can we not tell my grandpa that me and Britta hooked up"

"Has anyone noticed Professor Duncan has been gone a long time ?" :D

So where was Pierce ?
It was Chevy's voice as his puppet but he was nowhere to be seen, even in the end bloopers

This episode was the last filmed, hence Pierce not being there. In his contract to leave the show, he agreed to finish off the voice over work.

Unlike the claymation episode, where the special format suited a purpose, this felt unnecessary and was just being done as a gimmick.

So they just left Pierce in the woods? I'm confused.

I'm sick of the Dean-Jeff dynamic, I wish they would change it up or just end it as a side joke.

Even the decent nods/jokes, like the Duncan quip, felt forced. Deliberate nods to the fanbase are OK, but it felt out of whack with that time of the episode.

The secrets were lame.

I didn't hate it and there were enough laughs to keep it going. Abed not having a secret was a bit of a cop out, but then again, so were all the "secrets". I was hoping the girl he met in the last episode would show up again.

I reckon leaving Pierce behind in the woods while he did his business was a bit of a "**** you" to Chevy. Good on him for doing the voice over.
