Obviously not playing round 1, Hirdy just didnt think he was quite ready for a full game. Hes best 18 no question. With the loss of Colyer i was also surprised NLM got the call up ahead of him, would have been an ideal replacement even if he played as a sub.
No Davey, Dellolio, Wnders, Lonergan, Colyer, B.Lee named as expected, but it just shows the competition for spots at the dons. There list has gone from very poor only one year ago that was considered over achieving to make the finals a few years ago to becoming a potentially very classy list with guys like Heppell, Hurley, Melksham and Zaka coming along very nicely. I also have massive wraps on E-Kav as you port fans may know

But we always had these Hocking, Myers, Watson, Stanton type players who dont get put in the classy category, but now along with them we have added some really good class.The modern game is certainly favouring the dons. You hear big bodies this, big bodies that in the midfield. The dons now have some very mature, big bodies that can win contest and also run all day (Watson, Hocking, Myers, Stanton, Howlett).

Decided to replace Winderlich with a rookie and hope he returns soon but gets the vest until match fit then might reconsider!

Swan, Ablett, Bartel.
I changed Pendles to Swan as my last move and I regret it. Hope Swannie makes up for it soon. I could only have 1 from Collingwood as I really wanted Jimmy B as I think he's in for a big year pretty much really needing to become more central more of the time in a depleted new look Cats.
Ablett is my 2nd captain option and I'm starting with him this week as I just felt Swan had a hard game first up.
