I would like to print a t-shirt to wear on Thursday night. I have obtained some t-shirt transfers to iron on to a t-shirt and I am trying to make a design in Word. My problem is that I can't work out how to flip text in Word (2007 version). The text needs to be back to front on the transfer so it comes out the right way on the t-shirt. I can flip pictures but can't work out how to do it with text. Can anyone help me?

Thanks!

I know you can do it in tables and cells. Here is a bit from the microsoft help

Change the orientation of text
Show All
Hide All
You can change the text orientation in drawing objects, such as text boxes (text box: A movable, resizable container for text or graphics. Use text boxes to position several blocks of text on a page or to give text a different orientation from other text in the document.), shapes, and callouts, or in table (table: One or more rows of cells commonly used to display numbers and other items for quick reference and analysis. Items in a table are organized into rows and columns.) cells so that the text is displayed vertically or horizontally.
default.aspx

  1. Click the drawing object or table cell (cell: A box formed by the intersection of a row and column in a worksheet or a table, in which you enter information.) that contains the text you want to change.
  2. On the Format menu, click Text Direction.
  3. Click the orientation you want.

Thanks for trying to help, giantroo, but that's not really what I'm after. I have typed the text as normal but now need to flip it so the writing is back to front.

Have you tried using Wordart?

P.S Unfortunately, Word won’t allow you to flip or rotate text or a text box by 180
degrees.

I did have a little play with Word Art but gave up. I'll give it another try. Thanks for your help.

No Problems. Have a try with Paint. I think it will work there.
