I thought it was going to be a close game for just three quarters. Instead, it was a close match for practically the entire game! Just the the Lions were just a little bit better, and defined as such by Akermanis' late goal-- big-game players come through in big games, as it's been said...

Thanks guys. The win was made greater due to the fact that we had McDonald off the ground early, Pikey on the bench injured, Akermanis injured and playing, Black injured during the game and still managed to play, Voss getting hits and wasn't feeling up to scratch and the umpiring was shocking. To win in those circumstances added to the brilliant feeling after the game.

Well done Brisbane, clearly a well-deserved win. Back-to-back flags is a pretty impressive feat!

Two observations if I may -

1. I love it when a Victorian teams gets beaten in a home final it did not earn.

2. You will be even more the hunted side next year. After the first flag many don't seem to think you were actually that good, but after the second they will all want your scalp. That makes it very tough.

Good victory today, well deserved. Enjoy the win!

it was vossy and the 'big boys' who won it 4 brissie- keats rucking on his own, leppa & mal great defending AND lynchy's effort with 4 goals after rain/hail & a scragging wánklyn!
