Welcome to the club Bubba. We already have one kid, and the moment he popped out was the greatest moment of my life( I haven't seen my team win a flag-dont think I ever will).

Mate, your life is about to change in ways you cannot even percieve. If you think that you have ever been tired then come and see me a week after the bubby comes home. When is the little one due? Ours is due any moment(which will make Uni studies interesting)

Two pieces of advice;
1. dont find out the babies sex before the birth
2 Get down to Glenferrie NOW and sign the little one up.

Anyway congrats to you and yours from me and mine

P.S I'd love to take the kids to the footy one day. Harvey is two and can sing both versions of the club song and name all the players up to No. 35

well done bubba to you and your mrs. if you're happy and over the moon now wait until the little one arrives, then you will really know what absolute joy is. it fades ever so slightly over the weeks though when you haven't had any sleep and are wrist deep in smelly nappies.

Hope all goes well Bubba, glad you're smiling again! Don't listen to the doom 'n' gloom merchants , nothing beats hearing "daddy daddy daddy" when you get home after a long day at work! Even makes changing nappies worthwhile.

Localyokal, know what you mean, whilst I've seen a couple, I'm still waiting to play in one which is something I've always dreamed about. With she who must be obeyed making noises about retirement this year might be the last chance. Fingers crossed.

It is an amzing life changing experience.

Even now, after nearly 8 years, I still look at my boy and the emotions well up. Children are a precious gift, and one to be enjoyed from the day you learn they are coming, onward.

I went thur the last part of my pregnancy and the upbrining of my child as a sole parent. When I was really down just before he was born, my uncle rang me and told me that as far as he was concerned, there was a no more beautiful woman in the world than one you love that is carrying child. Remember to tell your lady that all the time, it really does make a difference.

I hope all goes well for you and your family.
