Terrific game - one of the best of I've seen. My wife couldn't work out while I was smiling after we lost by 3 points, but you don't mind losing as much when the winners play so well.

Due to computer probs this week I didn't get to come down and post my good luck thread, but I'm more than happy to come down and say congrats on a great win. Yeah obviously we wanted to win, but we were beaten by the better team on the night, you guys were awesome.

Thank you. I have to agree, it was an amazing game!!!!!! It's about time too that one of these 'blockbuster' games actually lived up to its name. We beat Essendon pretty well, the Eagles beat us pretty well, we beat Port well........ FINALLY we get a 1 v 2 game, and a thriller too. Even though we lost I don't feel at all bad about it.

Agreed, as I posted on the Lions board, I haven't gone to bed so happy after a loss - a superb game by the Pies who beat Brisbane at their own game.

Not sure how you can mention "happy" after a loss NathanD.

I couldn't sleep for hours! The replays of missed chances were going round and round in my head for hours.

It was a fantastic game though, good to watch and good for football as they say.

Thankyou for the comments Lions fans... It was an awesome display of football by both sides.. The best match I have witnessed in years... I swear I was going to have an heart attack in the last minute of the game.... couldn't believe it!!!
