On a very solid win last night.

Did the hard yards in the first half, especially shutting down our run from halfback and from kick ins.

Looked at times like your lot was playing with a dry ball and ours like they had a wet cake of soap!

Too good on the night.

Hope our finals path crosses!

Thanks Syd. Nice to hear there are some Swans supporters who are gracious in defeat and give credit where it's due.

A great game in the end and I was happy to get the 4 points.

Thanks Syd, like you I hope we meet in the finals. The beating you took on Satutrday will be nothing compared to the flogging you would get in a final.

I actually thought Goodes had the better of Fraser. Certainly in the stats department!

Fraser was impressive, I must admit though ;)

Goodes had 28 disposals, 20 hitouts. Whereas Fraser had 17 disposals 17 hitouts.

I am not sure how effective each was, but certainly Goodes was one of our best.

How about Kirks job on Buckley? He only had 4 possessions to half time. Did better in the 2nd half, but Kirk actually had more possessions than him. Quite impressive ;)

Buckley changed his gameplan due to the weather and the quality of his tag. Rather than play the running kicking game (you can't run off a tag in those conditions) Buckley spent the game doing the 1 percenters. Ten tackles from a guy who was meant to to be that taggee not the tagger was astounding. Buckleys hard work at the bottom of the packs was important for us in the second half.

Kirk still beat him - no question - but diving into the bottom of the packs was an interesting way to attempt to counter a tag.

goodes was your best followed by kennelly i thought. goodes was asked to do to much, you would have been better with a team effort;) and why did you play three ruckmen?

bucks was good. some very nice touches (17 all up, mostly kicks unlike kirk), lots of hit outs and 11 tackles to top it off.

Not sure kirk beat him.

Sure he may have been effective in nullifying him but straight man on man he didnt beat buckley.

enjoyed the occasion and giving it to you swannies. it was pumping down our end and an electric atmosphere. the sweetest win of the year .... so far!

Three ruckmen? Well Goodes isn't really a ruckman, but don't worry, I questioned our selection before the match, and was hoping that one of them would be replaced before the start of the match.

Strange selection to say the least. Can't say I was overly impressed with that.

Kirk gets heaps of handballs because he is like a linkman, and excellent at the stoppages. Great out of the packs.

Adam Goodes is a sensational player. He may have been given to much to do in terms of workload now that Ball is out but he sure did well enough imo. I've always thought he was a good player but watching the Swans over this season, I have realised that he aint just good, he's bloody great!
