Congratulations to Carl Dilena on his appointment as Chief Executive Officer at the Kangaroos.
Carl had a couple of seasons at Fitzroy (1989 - 1990) and played 23 senior games. He also kicked a couple of goals in Fitzroy's 1989 Reserves Premiership. In 1991 Dilena moved to North Melbourne, where he played another 10 games in the seniors. I'm sure all Fitzroy supporters would wish Carl good luck in his new and important role. (he may need it).

I doubt your C.V. would make you a much better prospect than Delina. More to the point, the Kangaroos are happy with him and it seems they have every reason to be:

A former senior partner at KPMG, Dilena, 45, will begin in the new year.

"Carl has been a senior partner with one of the world's biggest professional services firms, played football at the highest level, has been a member of our Board for the past five years and has chaired the club's finance and audit committee.
"He comes to us with an impressive skill-set and we couldn't be happier to announce his appointment."

"Not only does he understand our business inside out, he has also forged very strong relationships with key people at the AFL, has an intimate knowledge of where we have come from as an organisation, where we need to be headed and how to get there," Brayshaw said.
