Well done Fremantle. You were playing the better football, even before injuries cruelly robbed us, and as such throughly deserved your win.

well done on a exellent win Freo you's were just to good for as well deserved win we really wen't good :(.Freo proved me wrong they are a pretty good team once they get it together looks like Freo will surpise some people this year.

The win was great, we played pretty well (still made some basic skill areas), but I think it was the first time for ages that I actually had confidence that we could go on and really put the points on the board.

One of the best things about the game however was that during the minute silence at the start of the game, no morons shouted out for either team, it was dead quiet. I thought that was a credit to all richmond and freo supporters who were at the match.

Good Stuff Freo

I'm surprised at the magnitude of the win, I was tempted to tip Richmond as I beleive they are one of the sides to beat this year.

Richmonds dream run at Subi had to come to an end eventaully I guess :)

The boys played very well after the five goal onslaught from Richmond in the first quarter and deserved the win. Being without Richardson and Stafford and losing Holland hurt the tigers and Troy Simmonds' dominance in the ruck against Hall forced Ottens to be moved in the ruck which robbed Richmond of valuable goal kicking power. Cook and Bell were winning the ball out of the centre in close and I think that all of our big men won their battles against Ricmond.

It seems like we are finally earning some respect in the AFL, and no team coming from the east will win an easy game against Freo this year.

Ezra Poyas and David Rodan did some good things for Richmond especially in the forward line and both look like they will be excellent players. They both have a great deal of skill and Rodan in particular boasts a lot of speed. I must say that watching him was a delight, he looks to be very a exciting player.

FreoDocker you are abosulutely right, the fact that no supporter shouted during the minute of silence shows that the supporters who were at the game are decent people who have great respect for the ANZACS who fought so bravely for their country during WW1. Hopefully the Dockers would have benefited from being spoken to by ANZAC heroes before the game.

As for Foxhat, you should be ashamed of yourself. In all the posts I have seen you make you have never made any constructive comments on issues or games. All you seem to do is make cheap shots on clubs and people without saying who you support. Next time you want to have a go at the Dockers or any other club, say who you support first.

Great Game Freo!!. Even if foxhat thinks the umpires were generious we won that game in our own right.

Today when the going got tough we stood up where as previously we would have blown it.

Cook was brilliant and McManus's skill level was better (maybe it was the hair cut)

I was amazed that there was no Morons during the minutes silence, maybe the twits have finally learnt what it means!!

Well done Dockers.

Too good for us, and just to let you know I tipped this, well not by that much, but I looked at our team, then looked at yours and thought, if there ever was a time Freo will beat Richmond, it is now! You are a good side, and have earned my respect.

As for my side.......Geez where do I start, and anyway its not for this board!;)

The Dockers, at times actually looked impressive  A very good win for your club, WA footy isnt looking all that bad this year is it! And to think everyone was in crisis mode last season. Both clubs could push for a spot in the 8 this year?

But then again both clubs could fall into bad habits and finish bottom 4....

Yes, it is always the umpires isnt it?

I'll happily admit they didnt too well yesterday, but if you even vaguely wish to assert that it played any bearing on the overall result, you really dont know, or understand, football.

Great win yesterday by the biys, simply hard running, have a look at the replay, and it is simply numbers tot he ball and contest tiume and again, they keep up with that pressure and desire, and I'll be a very happy man.

I hope all those critics who called some of the boys "hacks" and fat were watching, although I doubt that Robert Walls will admit it.

Macca was solid in his work rate and made minimal errors (in fact Bell caused more turnovers!!), Cookie played his heart out as usual and Haselby played his usual "Kemp like" role of effectiveness without flair. Brown also showed that he can be a target in attack if given game time.

Good to see Grover and Mcphee ready to take the next step, I would assume having "Action Man" Parker near you is a great help. Please tell me when Action Man last played a shocker, he is boringly dependable.

Richmond were hit by injuries but they gambled in using Ottens as a full time ruckman and that robbed other areas, the gamble failed.

Umpiring, in fact I noticed the umpires very little. After watching the replay I reckon the free kicks evened themselves out over the day, miss one for Freo, miss one for Richmond.

After watching the replay, I reckon Kevin Bartlett is a closet Freo fan, or is it that he just enjoys his football and calls it as it is, he doesn't seem to hold long held bias.

Nah, your not alone....I noticed that too. The other one I noticed last year of being a closet Freo fan was Drew Morphett.

And one question, assuming Jones is fit to play next week, who do we drop for him? I reckon it'll be a tough decision.
