Cop rapes domestic violence victim

This one goes out to the "you have nothing to fear if you've done nothing wrong" cartel.

A 20-year-old woman was r*ped and indecently assaulted by two South Australian police officers who went to Victoria to help in the aftermath of the Black Saturday bushfires, a court has heard.

The Melbourne Magistrates' Court this morning heard that Damien Wilmott, 29, and Steven Westcott, 39, were part of a contingent of 50 SA police officers that stayed at a south-eastern suburbs hotel in early March to help local police with relief efforts.

The committal hearing was told a 20-year-old female complainant was also coincidently placed in the hotel by a charity organisation because she needed emergency accommodation.

Haven't heard of the presumption of innocence Wally, or does that only apply to alleged offenders who are not cops ?

I suppose some intensive psychotherapy, as opposed to a long prison sentence, would be fitting, if it is their first offense ?

The article implies no outcome and neither do I.

I have simply placed the article on the table.

Let's see where it goes from here.

Of course, the hilarious thing is that those cops have most likely embellished evidence before to manipuilate legal cases, so I do find the idea of them being hung without a trial as appealing.

I can actually see a very large difference between a 29 and 39 year old trained cop and some 18-20 year old kids.

You don't go out much, do you?

It seems you think all cops are crooks. Need anything more be said ?

Glad age is a factor in mounting a defense for going/not going to prison. Guess I better get in now if I want to commit pack rapes before it is too late.

Not all of them, most of them. If by "crook" you mean someone who knowingly breaks the law.

Whatever.

I actually believe that you are stupid enough to not understand the differences between a 39 year old policeman and an 18 year old immigrant kid.

"Crook" as in someone who fabricates, or embellishes evidence, since that itself is a crime.

Good to see you "only" think most cops are crooks, not all of them.

I know the difference, but the victim and the law do not distinguish, and nor should they.

Apparently you think the severity of a crime, and the appropriate punishment, depends on who is doing the crime, not the act itself.

That says a lot about you as a person.

They're probably no different to the rest of society, although they like to promote the situation otherwise.

I know the difference,

Do you?

Then that makes the following drivel irrelevant.

but the victim and the law do not distinguish, and nor should they.

Kill a cop and you will get the rough end of the justice stick.

A cop that breaks the law must be dealt with likewise.

Apparently you think the severity of a crime, and the appropriate punishment, depends on who is doing the crime, not the act itself.

I see the potential for rehabilitation to be far greater in a 20 year old immigrant kid than a 30 year old cop.

In fact if you go back to the conversation you seem so keen to keep harping on about you will see that I stated that if an intensive corrective program failed I would be happy to throw the key away on such individuals.

That says a lot about you as a person.

I really don't care what you think, in fact I would be personally disappointed if a person of such narrow perspective had many things in common with me.

Anyway, you have hijacked this thread long enough.

No more replies for your drivel.:thumbsu:

You should also understand the difference between being allegedly digitally r*ped and being gang r*ped by up to 20 people.

Now I'm not saying that digital rape is not a crime - far from it - but in terms of perspective you are a mile off course, as per usual.

If these guys are found guilty, the courts will come down on them hard. Coppers tend to get the max sentences in comparison to the rest of the population as they should too, being in a position of authority.

I didn't bring comparisons with the Skaf brothers in to this thread, the serial thread hijacker did.

If I have to point out that coppers should know better to grown adults then I am probably better off banging my head against a tree.

You did say that the Skaf brothers should not be serving a jail sentence and instead should have undergone intensive counselling plus five years forced work in a Womens Crisis Centre, didn't you ?

Or am I thinking of someone else ?

I'm just thinking how the above correlates with your mock outrage in the OP. A tad hypocritical wouldn't you think ?

I am not going to let this thread be hijacked any further.

This thread is about cops that have allegedly r*ped someone and the implications of that in relation to expanding police powers.

If you want to continue down this path then I suggest you open another thread in relation to that and I will answer your questions.

Thanks.

Nowhere in the quoted article, nor in any other reports on this matter that I've read, has it been mentioned that the woman was a bushfire victim. Where does this information come from? Or are you merely making that bit up to beat the story up even further?

Edit: Having done further reading, it appears the woman was in emergency accomodation, after being placed there to avoid domestic violence. Virtually the only part of your post which was written by you, its title, is an emotive tissue of lies. What a thing you are.

Yep, that's incorrect, my mind must have been elsewhere. I have corrected the title.

I obviously misinterpreted this:

The court heard the pair were among about 50 police from South Australia who were staying at the hotel to help with the bushfire recovery effort.

Such flimsy words for one that rarely misses an opportunity to show off his extensive vocabulary.

It obviously mattered more to you if she was a fire victim and not a victim of domestic violence.

Apologies for the letdown.

If 'thing' appears flimsy to you, I suggest you contemplate the implication embedded in the word that you are less than human.

Your credibility is zilch. Shut your mouth while you're behind.

In 500 words or less, why would your opinion of me matter?

Feel free to throw in a few big words while you're at it.:thumbsu:

Go!

Given the invitation you've just extended, I would think you think it matters, which is more than I do. Nothing about you is of any significance whatsoever.

Care to add anything relating to the threads topic?

Nothing about you is of any significance whatsoever.

Yet somehow significant enough for that last minute edit.

Cops/rape and extended police powers. Feel free to chip in whenever you are ready.
