Other than his first game (R23, 2014 vs Hawthorn where he got a few over the top cheapies) Gault has shown nothing at AFL level... He is either a step behind, too small to physically compete in any contests, or not at that elite mental level required to be of use at this level... Or some combination of the three.

I am happy that he deserved to get this shot after his NAB form, (and theres still a chance for him to prove me wrong) but there's a reason that a few of us were trying to keep a lid on the hype coming out of preseason.

I can see why the club has hung in with him. Seems to be a real head case and I reckon if someone could give him some self confidence he'd be a solid player. Needs to hurry up though because he was putrid tonight and last week.

Back to the VFL Corey and try again. I'm hanging in there for him
