Tonight's performance was so much better, I think he actually took more marks tonight than he has taken in total of the previous two games.
I give credit where credit is due and he was one of the best for Carlton tonight.

Corey was great, but I thought Hulmey was inspirational at the right times.

Yeah! Gotta love the Pup.

Good win to you guys, Congrats!!

Spewin it wasnt the other way around but oh well life goes on!! Murphy did well tonight on Bucks, kept him quiet in the first half!!... Hulme's matchup was MM biggest mistake tonight. Putting a slow backmen on Hulme was a big mistake!!

Congrats anyway!!

Many good players tonight. It was a real grind but any win is a good win at this stage for us. Great game by Murphy, Corey, Beauy, Pup, Whitnall especially.

Congrats on the win last night and well done Corza.
Pity about the.. errr... golden shower Corey copped singing the song back in the rooms.
I always thought I'd feel uneasy seeing him in a Carlton guernsey & celebrating with his new team mates but he looked so very happy last night and I'm proud.

I trust the media will get off the club's back now, but then they'll only find another team to insult which is never good.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

i was very happy with Corey's performance last night
6 marks, 3 straight goals ;)
if he does that every week then he'll be a great asset to the team... good team effort and nice to see us being 'committed' again

Thanks 35eye. Gee, Corey looked like the happiest bloke there and he sang the song with such gusto. He has had something to prove to himself and the football world in general and the preseason iinjury combined with the poor team efforts in the first two rounds were building a lot of frustration for him. And ..... he took a great overhead mark! Woohoo. Great to have a target finally and he did it without forward support from Whitnall who played in defence and Fevola who will have a long stint in the VFL.

i've been down corey and i gotta say that was the best performance he's put together for teh last 3 years....hopefuly he can use it as a springboard to recapture his lost form.....next weeks going to be a big test to see whether he can do it

murphy was fantastic, campo was quiet, hulme is fantastic so was plunkett, whitnall was great, all your inspirational blokes stood up....i think last nite really highlighted how braddles is getting old....i think he's finding it harder and harder to hold his own......

great game you deserved it, and the good news collingwood is now 1-2!!! HAHAHAHAb

yes beating collingwood was good

i agree hume, and corey did play well, it also took one of our better forwards like wittnal to hold the backline he was inspiring i thought too, unfortunatly collingwood had too many shots at goal which they missesed thanks to our pressure in the last 2 quarters, but its evident we need someone tall and talented to hold our backline , and our forwards its a matter of time before they will start to klick!! but on the brighter side of things we have at least showed some spirit and tackled hard and the players had full suport of our coach, moral is something that we need to build especially to mour younger players, the talent is their we need the hunger!!! next week will be hard against port but if we beat them it will be great,i just hope we do not get thrashed over there, historicly we have a great record at football park!! and some of our star players should start too lift also players like fivola should have a good look at themselves and go in hard like hume does!!:p

Corey was good, But Darren Hulme killed us around the packs, and i think was the difference. In the pack situations, it was always Carlton clearing it, most of the time it being hulme getting the kick/punch/whatever forward...
Big game for hulme, alot of one percenters!
Well done blues, Pies better show a bit this week, im getting a bit worried.

I know this thread was started as a result of his game against Carlton, but i must admit it was bloody hard watching him run around against us in a Carton guernsey yesterday. Thought he showed a bit in the first half for you guys and was sad to see him go off injured. You seem to have jinxed him as he didnt miss that much footy at North because of injury! Hope it gets better.

And to the barneys who ar ebagging him and saying i(round 4) was his best game in 3 years, what short memories you have. I wont blab on as its a Carlton forum, but what about his game against Essendon last year in "that" game for example? The guy is a champion and by year's end will show why he is such a big loss to us and such a good gain for Carlton.

Exactly Carlos...how good was he against the Bummers last year. He's a big loss for North and I found it extremely hard watching him run around in another jumper.
