How does jumping at shadows screaming lockdowns and restrictions forever everytime there is a case seriously contribute to a sustainable proportionate public health policy to deal with a virus?
That's not taking it seriously that's just behaving like a demented idiot without thinking things through doing more damage in the process and having 3 fifths of **** all effect on the long term spread of a virus.

I did read that they reckon a new vaccine can be developed within 90 days to help fight off any of the new strains as long as we take the initial covid vaccine.

How many new forms of covid have just popped up out of nowhere, How the heck do they know this strain is worse than the UK strain .

I did read that they reckon a new vaccine can be developed within 90 days to help fight off any of the new strains as long as we take the initial covid vaccine.

SOE expires March 8, going to be a very interesting 2 months coming up to see if Andrews tries to get something through to extend it beyond that because in his own words, " without the SOE we can't enforce any of the rules " which was the reason given for the extension at the start of December to deal with quarantine, which means masks, lockdowns, gathering numbers, 14 day isolation etc all expire with it.

I'm not sure what's going on in WA but we seem to be just wandering around like everything's normal.
I see a few drongos out there with masks, even though they're surrounded by thousands of people.
There was a thing about it spreading around April, and then all of a sudden it just stopped. Bus drivers were even reported of having it, and within a few months we got to zero. Borders have opened and nobody seems to be getting infected. No idea whats happening bit it raises the Danny Red Flags.

Absolutely it's getting extended. Given how the cross benchers rolled on the curfew and how everyone is obsessed another 6 months is easily coming Wouldn't surprise me if 12 was pushed and got in till March 22

The government provides security and protection of property rights in return for you (its citizen) relinquishing some of your freedoms. Sometimes you will not agree with the freedoms you have to give up. Alternatively, you can run for public office yourself. The are few obstacles in the way of you doing this. Another alternative is to move to a region where there is an absence of functioning government. Unsurprisingly, most people don’t choose this option as they are, without exception, unpleasant places to live.

You are correct in your assessment of big pharma. And their track record of putting profits before people is broadly known. However, unless government usurp the role of drug mass production, big pharma will continue to be the only means by which to get treatments out to the masses.

As for the economy, this has been sensationalised, by the MSM. The truth is the economy runs in cycles of boom and bust. And it occurs on average once every 12 years. This is a byproduct of capitalism. Furthermore, a full 80% of privately owned businesses go broke in the first five years. Downturns in the market on partly explain this, lack of sufficient capital and a poor business model are the root cause of this. As a virus will expose the vulnerable of health, an economic downtown will expose the vulnerable of business. And this is not a phenomenon specific to COVID.

Sounds good and would work if there wasn't election fraud, which I don't think there is much if any in Federal elections here, and if media didn't suppress hundreds of thousands of researchers that prove there are safe and effective medicines and top infectious experts who are calling COVID the biggest fraud ever perpetuated on a population.

What happens if the popn gives up their freedoms based on being fed false information to instill fear so crippling most will give up their freedoms and lockdown ruining small private businesses, no matter how long they've been in business?

I don't think this is just a downturn this time, and while I think most in Australia will survive, Victoria has been sold out to the Chinese who will be looking to scoop up businesses and property left in tatters, thanks to the Dictator, who'se already sold out to them.

Problem is especially in US they are printing $ so fast and the spending is so out of control that it's hard to see how the $ system doesn't crash and many are suggesting crypto which Gates fortuitously has a patent to include in his vaccine, and maybe silver or gold. Many of their Democratic Governors have shut States down so hard with little Federal cash support that most small business will bankrupt but the large companies with a few in charge have seen their wealth explode exponentially. If Bezos took the profit he's made since march he could distribute $600 a week to the same eligible families the US Gov't is trying hard not to support.

Anyhow Happy New Year, have enjoyed the discussions and while I don't expect to change your mind this is worth watching to get an idea of what some are warning supported by WEF many Global leaders is the plan that is being mapped out for us!

Once again, the most disturbing thing about this whole situation is not the politicians, you expect them to lie cheat, steal and generally screw you over, it's the sheep. Just went to my local shops, everyone back in masks even just in the street. Went to one small shop that I thought had come to realise this whole thing is a scam and they were straight back into panic mode. Told me it's not just a few cases "it's eight cases now" (OMG ). Then when I said I still didn't know anyone that had had it they said they knew a few, well only two but it was the worst thing they've ever had... but still lived to tell the tale apparently. Where do we go from here? These people are never going to come to their senses.

This thread has been a saving grace for me. I've yet to find anyone else (other than my girlfriend and mother) who sees things the same way as me. Everyone, literally everyone, I come across is as sheeple as possible. This thread gives me...some hope. Not much, but some. May the silent majority eventually stand up.

Have you looked at 'conspiracy' forums such as those on reddit?

There are other places out there with heaps of people who know the 'pandemic' is a scam, people who know about the Great Reset and so forth.

I say 'heaps of people', of course it is just a drop in the ocean in real world terms, but it is still nice to read comments from other people who know.

There are also websites run by people who know the whole thing is a scam.

They have their own discord servers where people chat about this stuff.

These are people who either are on the dole, or 'working' cushy jobs from home.

They have not been negatively impacted by all of this.

These people also tend to lead boring lives, they weren't doing anything fun pre pandemic.

Wake up, go to work / watch TV, drink alcohol and / or smoke weed, eat some food, go to bed.

That was their life in 2019 before any 'virus'.

Now everybody else has been dragged down to their level.

They're loving it. They could do this for the rest of their pitiful meaningless lives.
