Is there any other method of sign in? I usually don't take my phone places anyway
WA has pen and paper option, although we have less places doing this than SA. Shops might find it hard to cater with pen and paper with the sheer volume. So therein lies the problem.

I don't see how they can assure everyone signs in anyway. What are they doing, getting people to line up and have multiple door attendants checking to make sure everything's in order?

When I flew back into Queensland from Tasmania last month I had to fill out manual paperwork to get through the airport terminal, the copper who I had to hand it in to had no idea what to do with it(said it was the 1st manual one he had) so he had to ask the fella next to him what to do with it.

Here in Brisbane if you go to a restaurant you are supposed to scan in, everyone I have been to the staff don't give a shit whether you sign in or not or I just wave my phone over the thingy and pretend I've done it.

This is a personal question for everyone and I don't expect any answers, but what age group is everyone in this thread? I'm 25 and I am really, really struggling to come across anyone remotely close to my age who thinks along the same lines as me.

I have experienced many in their 60s who are switched on here in WA but not any other age group.

What do you mean by switched on ?

Did the people who died from the flu have co-morbidities ?
Did the people who died from heart disease or cancer also have co-morbidities ?
Do most people who die early from any disease also have co-morbidities ?
Yet it seems to only be bought up as a factor for cv19 deaths by the deniers to somehow try and dispute/reduce the death count

It gets brought up because of the massive hype campaign revolving around covid. Constant updates about how many people have been tested/test positive. There are no stats on regular flu about how many people have it but don't show symptoms. Almost any disease is going to affect unhealthy people/those with underlying health problems more. But the government would have you believe that covid is an indiscriminate killer, despite the average age of death from it being higher than the national life expectancy, and with the survival rate for people under ~70 being 99.99%.

They’re some pretty dumb questions there even by your standards.

Have to sign in at the pub for lunch, table of 10 and no one did it. Table next to us didnt even pretend to. Staff could not care less, they just need to pretend to in case of fines but the coppers who come in care as little as we do anyway.

This QR thing is such a waste of time. People arent signing in, risking someone they've never met "testing positive" and them having to do 14 days house arrest when completely healthy. Its mental illness whoever supports this stuff but there arent many when you actually go out. Shops have a few masks but those people are beyond help anyway. Just karens we would all ignore daily. Once things open again, people just go back to normal as they should. The covid losers hate this though

Going the test Friday. Not a chance people sign in at the gates, the gate attendants are flustered enough usually, they arent checking. Waste of time

****ed if im giving up xmas, boxing day, nye and various other beer sessions because some campaigner ive never met is "sick". Even if i have to "quarantine", try and fine me. Its not happening if im well

Your not seeing whats happening in the US UK and EU ?
You think they are OK its just over hyped ?

Get f’ed Marshall. I went to the pub last night after we knocked off the top side in cricket to make the grand final. When I arrived I pretended to sign in with the QR code.
I went to the Inglewood pub friday night, didn't see one person signing in.

Yer, up here in QLD I still see the occasional person with a mask on, usually young people for some reason. I go for a walk most mornings and I see this one young couple who would be in their mid to late 20s who are both waiting at the bus stop with their designer masks on, quite sad really to be living in fear like that.

Yep almost all old people here, no masks, even on the bus. People under 35ish, masked. I havent caught the bus to work for 3 weeks, be interesting to see if its the same tomorrow. 34 here and pot luck if your bus has AC. If these idiots sit in that with a mask on they deserve to be uncomfortable. Morons

I wonder how long before retail and hospitality industry groups arc up about this. I normally get takeaway coffee and lunch a couple of times a week but I can't be arsed with the check-in so I don'tbotherwith these businesses and just use office coffee /packed lunch. I can't be the only one.

Early 40s. I'm surprised more in your age group aren't spitting chips about lockdowns as you're wearing the lion's share of the current and future costs. I'm particularly disappointed in people my age or older who are also parents, and support younger generations making sacrifices to protect their (the elders) health. That's not how parenting works - you sacrifice for your kids, not the other way around.

possibly because a lot of the younger generation have been sold the socialism dream of infinite handouts. Mid 40s here.

^^
Also add that your generation, thanks to media and education, know **** all about history in regards to freedom and liberty, and how important they are. They think as long as we have 'democracy' (ie choice between near-identical parties that only look after themselves) that all is good. The ruling by decree amd trampling of human rights that has infested all Western nations in 2020 this year shows that democracy ain't worth shit by itself.
