If they said Covid could be transmitted on toilet seats I’m sure people wouldn’t use a toilet either.
59 days (could be 590) without a local transmission and yet people will just shrug and accept it. Some will say it’s a harmless precaution, while others prob won’t even leave their home on NYE.

Image if the billions of dollars governments have given to big pharma to develop and buy vaccines had gone to improving sanitation and water quality, how many lives could be saved especially when it affects over 20% of under 5 year olds, and quality of life improved?

America was already hugely polarized such that he could do no wrong/right depending on your existing opinion. No-one was changing their mind on Trump because of Covid.

As for Brazil, maybe they looked across at Argentina and saw worse outcomes from the world's longest lockdown, and preferred Bolsonaro's approach?

Asymptomatic, so why should they know they have it, if they do have it? It also means they're not spreading any infection and more likely to be spreading immunity.

Of course, health professionals should know that, because of the huge numbers in recent studies that confirm this. University of Florida performed a meta-analysis of 54 studies and found the asymptomatic/presymptomatic secondary attack rate is not statistically different from zero.



Also a recently published study of 10 million in Wuhan found no transfer of disease in asymptomatic positive cases.
