Down here in Tassie I've seen a few people driving around with masks on with nobody else with them in the car. I even see some stores guy walking around my work with a mask on .

Nothing going on down here either with any cases as well, I just don't get the whole paranoia of some people when there is no threat other than the damage they're doing to themselves by wearing a mask.

Having a look at the testing numbers for the UK, i am suss that they are conducting that many tests a day, a day ago they claim according to worldometer website if that is to be believed they conducted 586,751 tests. That's a lot of damn tests for a population of 65.2 million which would have testing centres jammed packed every single day.

Lets go a bit further because i am bored

testing centres are open 12 hours per day across the UK that i have seen

586,751 divide 12 equals 48,895 tests per hour
48,895 test p/h divide 60 minutes equals 814 tests per minute .

I don't know how many testing centres the UK has and that most are drive/walk through but that is rapid fire testing isn't it.

Let's say 10 minutes per test ( and that is being very very generous IMO ) and that would require 8140 approx testing centres in the UK all going lickety split and we have seen these drive through test centres and the cars are not moving, ( complaints of 5-6 hour wait just here in OZ and we test way less than the UK if their numbers are to be believed )

20 minutes per test would require 16,000 test centres approx across the UK and a glance at a map showing where drive/walk through centres are and there is no way known they even have 3000 centres unless they are flat chat at every GP and hospital conducting tests.............every single day.

So in conclusion, 586,751 tests in the UK a day ago.............................i call bullshit.

The NHS guidelines now say a covid death only needs to be suspected to count. As in not only died with but anyone dead who was suspected of having covid counts.
So my guess is any observation or GP visit for aunt Flo's glasses or Little Timmy's broken toe is counted as a test deep down in some stat model

But on a serious note, the UN does predict that lockdown related measures will result in an extra 10,000 kids starving per month, so yeah I'm assuming there already is food shortages for some

So it was very easy to sell the fear message which has now engulfed society, look at people eye's when they see you not wearing a mask and you can see how terrified they are.

Masks are the other message of fear and by virtue of making people keep wearing them the government is keeping the fear message alive and well so to speak, people actually think they are wearing a life saving device and when they see someone without one they see illness and death.

The government are not stupid, they know full well masks could and can be turfed but that would signal that there is no need to be fearful anymore and they don't want that so masks remain in some settings to keep the message bubbling along.

I know a guy who was your typical knockabout bloke who would say things like " you'll be right, ahh eats some concrete ya soft****, got a bit of man flu have ya, look at me sick but i just soldier on " etc but who is now completely off with the fairies with fear and has said as soon as any jab is available he will be first in line or and i quote " would you rather visit me in a wooden box instead "

I’ve got 2 similar mates, who questioned lockdowns all the way through but bc they just “want their life back” and be able to travel and go to footy, pub unhindered they even think mandatory vaccines and an app to show who has had the vaccine is an acceptable result and if you don’t get one well it’s your own fault.
Absolutely gobsmacking staggering from these two.

The fact that they only want you to wear one in big arse buildings proves my point above about wanting to keep the fear alive.

Bunnings, shopping centres, supermarkets where there is shit loads of space = wear a mask granny could die
small cafes, pubs, restaurants shops etc = don't need a mask granny won't die
